I'm going to be going down the Wisdom line for the obvious reasons, but what else are people picking up? I don't have much use for DogDog so I'm curious what other builds Defilers who are primarily raiding Defilers are using.

I don't know if anyone else has thought about it, but I thought about maybe just doing all stats and maybe the buckler stun ability. I mean DogDog is pretty lame. If of course they decide to make our pet worth something I wouldn't really know what to do. If anyone knows anything from keeping me from just getting all stats let me know. But that's my opinion!

At level 4, it is rarely resisted even by yellow ^^^heroic mobs. It usually knocks the mob on its backside for a few secs, but I suspect a knockdown graphic is not in game for all mob types lol.

I also really like the wis line, especially for the heal increase. Unfortunately, the heal increase achievement requires a symbol in secondary, and the stun achievement requires a buckler in secondary.

But I think I've decided to get both anyway, at least for now, who knows I might change it later.

For raiding, I will use a symbol and my Godking weap that procs a heal.

For grouping, soloing, and playing around, I will use a buckler and this nice quest weapon, which has a ten percent chance to proc a ~300+ nuke every time I cast a hostile spell, and basically all our spells are hostile except buffs, wards and heals:

This weap was pretty easy to get, just talk to the Grizzfazzle Gnome at the Drednever zonein camp. All you have to do is kill 20 of the preying mantis looking mobs on that island, and then beat the boss mob in the Den of the Devourer group instance, also on the island. The boss in the Den wasn't so hard for level 64s when I did it, you just need to figure the encounter out with your group.

Anyway, just wanted to point out I also thought the sta and wis lines are good for the same reasons you mentioned.

im not going the whole way down any of my lines, i dont find the end spells that useful. I maxed out my heal increaser, and plan on maxing out my chance to crit heal. With so few choices for a raid healer, I figured upping my heals is the best out of the line

I plan on checking all the lines out at some point by resetting the points. Atm im having "Ritual" at max and its really really awsome, and im working my way towards "Ritual of alacrity" based on the idear than the pet is more or less useless in raids due to its fragile nature, gonna test this more when we get around to raiding. I think with the very limited choices for a raid healer that "Ritual of alacrity" is gonna be very helpfull, at least that way we can boost another healers healing capabilitys alot or the tanks taunt ability.

So far im not a bery big fan of crit's the chance of them are too low and they are rather weak. I dont like relying on chances if they are too small, would rather have something less potent that i can control, timing is far more valuable than raw heal power. And its the 4th in the agi line i think which is horribly useless.

Atm i have really no idear what i would want after wis line, depends alot on the pet. The pure stat idear seems like a sub par solution to me simply due to the facts that it seems fairly easy to cap stats as it is, and we accually benifit very little from any of the stats.

Well I'm only 29 on the new PVP server but I was planning on using a 2handed spear (yah I know, what about it?) and going the agi line. Seems like I could be "not terrible" at melee damage and it'd be fun to get jumped by a Qeynosian and suddenly he finds himself being critted by the healer =P. Seems a fun line (although not bolstering our current role) that might add a little diversity to my playing =P.

I will be going down the Agility Tree. I will focus on STR and WIS (with leftover in Int/sta). I really want to see how well these melee skills work. I figure with my wards I can already tank pretty well, why not make my weapon actually useful at the same time?

I'll let you all know how it works. :smileyhappy:

I'm with you Jetblackrogue, also keep in mind that Root ability with the AGI line using your spear as well.

Going down the wisdom line, then was thinking of the strength line.

I'll likely go down the wisdom line, then the intelligence line. I would actually like the strength line a bit better if it were not for the final anti-aoe ability. That just doesnt interest me. Then again, neither does having to equip a symbol in my secondary, or wield a staff. But...every line makes you deal with a nonsensical requirment at some point. Such fun.

I think I'm going WIS and STR line...definitely WIS line though. Only thing the STR line is good for is the avoid AE buff so not sure yet. Probably will end up trying different things to see which is best suited for me.
