<div>Watch out, I know that collections are supposed to grant ASxp, but apparently not all of them do. I just spend over 50g completing about 10 collections and only 2 gave credit. So if anyone else was considering completing some collections for a quick ASxp boost, don't bother. I also ran through some newbie zones I've never been to with that character, Sunken City, the Ruins, and I didn't get ASxp for the areas I discovered even though I did get Axp.</div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>just a rough list off the top of my head, but only some zones give ASxp for discoeries:</p><p>Nektulos/Thundering Steppes</p><p>Enchanted Lands/Zek/Feerrott</p><p>Lavastorm/Everfrost</p>

<div></div><div>Nektulos didn't give me ASxp. Nor any of my guildmates. Perhaps it is fixed now.</div><div> </div><div>It is supposed to be every major outdoor zone teir 3 and above. Thundering Steppes worked for me, yet Nek didn't. Odd. There are a ton of discoveries in KOS. Also don't forget Rivervale. There are probably more there than any other non KOS zone.</div><div> </div><div>Edit: Anyone happen to know the quest experience criteria? I've done several, but only one counted. I'm guessing "green" or maybe even "blue" quests do not count. Kind of a kick to the groin for level 60's with a ton of quests completed.</div><p>Message Edited by Wardyn on <span class="date_text">02-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:14 AM</span></p>

Just a thought: Could it be that you only get Achievement XP if the collection/discovery etc is close to your level?I also noted that the repeatable style quests (Jon whatshisname in Nektulos) don't reward with Axp.

What I have noticed is everything must be level 20+ I did sever collection quests and only got exp for the ones that were level 20+ same with discovery areas. You won't get any exp until you move out into the level 20+ areas like Nek and TS. As for named mobs and treasure well I looted a master spell and didnt get any exp eventhough it was a new discovery because the spell was under level 20. I have killed several named npc no exp but all have been under level 20. Just food for thought.<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><div>It's still buggy, though. I was grinding in POF and would get AS exp every 15 mins from a seemingly random critter. I can't explain, nor do I care. I'm just not thrilled at all with the new AS system. It's basically another unfun package granted by those so worried about balance, that they don't hand out anything overly usefull or enjoyable.</div><div> </div><div>Like the famous combat patch, it all filters back to PVP balance, like it or not. AS exp points are no different. The majority suffers for the minority again. IMO</div><p>Message Edited by Wardyn on <span class="date_text">03-05-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:41 AM</span></p>

I can see where you are coming from in a way. It would have been nice for Sony to be brave and just make EQ2 a pve game, but I think they were too afraid to lose the mass market a la Blizzard's game. This would certainly have allowed more daring abilities and a larger class imbalance. A truly class imbalanced game is something which actually excites me not deters me. I'm hoping someone has the guts to make one some time soon, and break the mold.On the other hand looking at the classes unless they do an immense amount of tweaking there are still going to be some very dominant pvp classes, so I'm not sure if this really is the reason that the Achievement abilities are so unfun in your words.Myself I think it would have been better to make these abilities similar to the AA's in EQ, and hence more powerful because they take longer to get and can only be earned at higher levels thus preventing an imbalance at lower levels.I don't understand the philosophy behind me and a level 60 earning achievement points at the same rate and buying them at the same rate (although once he reaches 70 he grinds pure achievement which in theory is faster) and getting the same abilities/stats from them. I think this is the real reason they might appear a bit weak to some people.

Because the PVP servers are packed full, and i'm sure there would be just as many pvp servers as bluebie if SOE would of just sucked it up and implemented PVP from the beginning. Most people aren't going to quit a character they've been working on for nearly 2 years. Think its a fluke that WOW has 6 MILLION subscribers now? The game may be far lacking in terms of content(compared to EQ2..) but there is all out PVP, which many many people want. INCLUDING diehard EQ fans like me.EQ2 + PVP is just the complete package for me and many others.<p>Message Edited by dhvyse000 on <span class="date_text">03-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:21 AM</span></p>

<div></div>I'm glad you enjoy PVP. Most do not. Therefore, <em>you</em> are the minority. Naturally, those servers will be packed. The old EQ pvp were packed at the start too. Now they are ghost towns. Just wait. Getting constantly ganked wears thin after awhile.<blockquote><hr>dhvyse000 wrote:<blockquote><hr>Wardyn wrote:<div></div><div></div><div>It's still buggy, though.
