Defilers: Quick fights or the Long drawn out ones

<div>Hiya! So im going to play on a pvp server and going to roll a defiler....but as I create him i ask myself. Do I really want to pvp with a defiler? This all leads to my main question....If you play with a defiler in PVP or dueling, does it take a while to do good damage to the enemy (say if the enemy didnt have very many heals or none at all.) Ive noticed defilers have a amazing survivablity rate though, except im planning on going hardcore pvp but i dont want to really play a class that takes forever to take out a enemy. Can ya Help me out here please?</div>

Defiler kills very slow.  All our damage spells are dots which any priest class and most other classes can cure before decent damage is done.  You will be able to stand for a very long time, chances are whoever has to afk to take a leak first loses.<div></div>

<div>Its takes very very long long to kill someone, we work with rather small dots and in a pvp inviroment we are very dependent on these. If the opponent has high disease resist or is able to cure them somehow we are almost not able to kill then or we simply cant kill them.</div><div> </div><div>The flipside is we are extremely hard to kill, we got alot of hp and decent mitigation, and when your a priest you naturally got high resists due to pushing wis. We got good healing and with the way stuns work on pvp servers i cant see how any other class would ever be able to kill me or other defilers with similar gear in 1 on 1 pvp and from what ive tried in the arena of group pvp its a definite advantage having a healer thats extremely hard to kill.</div><div> </div><div>But yes we kill extremely slow if even at all.</div>
