Defiler = Uber Tank =)

<div>Last night while in Poet's Palace we had issues with our tank who had used the SC mirror and zoned out. So to make up for it I tanked the the snake ring events, and all 4 named at the end *keeper,beauty,terror, unique*. Was a ton fun, and everyone was extremely shocked that it could be done with just 5 people and no fighter class. Personally I think it was only possible because of spiritual circle. Has anyone else ever tried this before? And do you think Defilers could replace fighters for MT in regular 6 man groups?</div><div> </div><div>Group set-up was 59 Defiler *me*, 60 Fury, 60 asn, 60 asn, 60 Warlock</div><div> </div><div>Mob hate really wasn't a problem especially using Single ward, Group Ward, Spiritual Circle, and mixing the occasional primary heal/debuff inbetween. On the keeper I could hold hate up until about he was at 20% HP. My gear is mostly T6 legendary/fabled, no raid items. BTW never had to use emergency wards on any of them.</div>

You were lucky in the fact that you had a lot of DPS, and 2 of those were assassins.. Assassins can transfer a LOT of hate if they feel so inclined.. but in that group I would have probably had one of the assassins tank so you don't get interrupted as often.. just my thought..</p><p>We have Duo'd / Trio'd poets a few times.. (Duo.. Assassin / Defiler), Trio (Guard / Assassin / Defiler) with fairly minimal issues (keeper being the only [Removed for Content]).. we are all in Legendary / Fabled, with about 50% master, 50% adept 3 spells..</p><p>We can take quite a bit of damage though.. and I've found my self tanking on quite a few occations in regular XP groups where it's me a couple scouts, and a couple squishies..</p>

I would be willing to bet that both the assasins were feeding you hate, with their hate transfer spell.  That being said, we can tank if needed.  I switched from my fury to defiler, both 60, and really noticed it on raids.  I can actually take a hit now, and have tanked Sunchild for 5% before.<div></div>

throw on the imdued craft BP also when you tank 8-) and your AGI gear.the hate transfer was key for your PP run i think.its real easy to tank Heriocs for a grp if you lead with ae (aphotic) on them and the grp just mows down one target at a time.I've found its very hard even for a tank to take agro if you pull mob and land a self-HO at start.  used to drive my dual zerker partner nuts trying to get agro back.<div></div>

<div></div>I have done all the named mobs in poets palace as the solo healer in a full group of DPS classes and a 60 Conjurer pet as the tank. It is a bit messy with a lot more aggro switching than you would get with a real tank but it is more than doable. The key is just taking things down FAST!

hehe - and yes this is extremly easy for a Defiler ....i have done this many times now, our MT was often to late and we zoned without himgrp setup: me (60 defiler), Nekro 60, Wizard 60, Troub 60, Warden 58no one died ^^<div></div>

<div></div>Not sure on the hate transfer spell. But easiest way to generate a ton of hate is just put up both wards and spirit. Then pull with a master smite =)

Took us about two weeks and 200 deaths to find a nice ruitine on the keeper to take him down, but now that we got it, and its easy.</div>
