Pushing the limits soloing - What can you do?

I'm level 60 in decent gear with a mix of treasured, legendary and a few fabled pieces. (lockjaw shoulders, Poets Boots, EL Nightblood ring, Roost Shield).I've got my prismatic. My spells are a mix of adept1, Adept3, and a few master1s. I went with single target ward master2.</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN>I was bored over the holidays due to our guild taking time off from raiding so i decided to see what I could go solo. I started with MM in everfrost and didn't have too much trouble, then hit vault of flames with no issues. I next hit Bastion of flames and had a close encounter with the last guy but won. (Legendary chest 100% btw).</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN>I next decided to step up to the expansion and went to Vault of Flames to try the named in there. I was able to take down the all the named in there with some effort. The Warden one was particularly hard because he kept healing. I then tried Sanctorium and was able to beat the zone. The last guy in Sanctorium was hard because all the corpses eventually add and beat you down. I had to pull him as far away as possible and try to get him down as far as possible before the adds came. Very fun fight!</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN>Is there anything else I may be missing that I could add to the soloing list for a defiler that could provide a challenge? I'm not so good at solo places, care to list some or all of them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I'm lvl 55 atm climbing slowly but steady towards 60 and I solo alot. I enjoy grouping but my life  makes it hard togroup sometimes. I have to leave on such a short notice that I end up soloing so I don't annoy people for getting a group together thenleave shortly after we begun the hunt. So any help regardign solo places would be nice<div></div>

Just a fresh note on soloing - I am lvl 52 now and only now in my last play session I spotted a triple up heroic blue raptor just in front of the north entrance of Pillars of Flame. So I tried to solo it - I won with power to spare (not much) but my forced cannabalise is still only Adept 1 and I am not using pearl jewelery as I should. Master used though was Fulg Tendrils Master 1 which is our main damage output and the other important one our Master 2 Carrion Shield (training choice). I have full cobalt, ironwood shield and prismatic however. Time to kill it was approx 2 minutes and it seems I got 1% exp for that one kill - people say we are slow soloers but one has to ask.. if I continued this pace up and had good drink, is 10% exp in around 25 mins bad at lvl 52? Tactics for killing blue triple up heroic at my level was simply to ward at start, hit fulg tendril + forced canabalise, hit all our main pure debuffs (four inc umbral trap), then stick on suppuration followed by bane of shielding. Manastone used when one can - rinse repeat and of course both proc buffs are runnign so they proc extra debuffs/dots along with armour/weapon proccing. Grouping is of course the best exp in the right places but still I always loved how easy we can solo and at 52 I still enjoy that comfort. <div></div>

I have always been able to solo green hoerics even before the expansions.  Slow going but still I could.  If it is a tank type I could and can solo yellow heorics.  Casters make me road kill, even the green ones can.   My gear isnt the best, but it is better than than it ever has.   My fealing has been that it not how shinny your gear is or how ubber the class is, but how good the person at the keys is.  I have seen a wizard solo the eye in poets.  I have also seen a bunch of 60 wizzy get smushed by things a lot easier.  Doloris level 60 defiler on shadowhaven - give us invis and lev and we would need a nerf : ) <div></div>

<P>I wasn't trying to show the size of my balls I was trying to have a conversation with the Defiler community. I was interested in seeing how I stacked against others of my profession.</P> <P>Most classes could do what I originally posted about. In fact, I had a competition with a guild Monk and a Coecer who did just about the same as I could. These heroics are level 52 max, 8 levels below us. I'm sure that it has more to do with the abilities of the player. Btw, most of my gear comes from the broker, just have to find the deals.</P> <P>I also noticed my damage go from about 150dps to 180dps by getting my damage spells upgraded from adept1 to 3. If you stack your Dots correctly and use HO's, you can push 200dps, at least that's what my Combatstats reports. My int is only 65 also, so I wouldn't worry too much about this stat.</P> <P>Mikell</P>

<div></div>yeah, those days are long gone.i'm up to soloing lvl 56 heroics.i'm thinking that with full fabled/full master1 that soloing a lvl 60^^^ melee mob is possible.technique is very important soloing but after you get skilled at using you spells the ability to take on tougher stuff is gonna be driven by your gear/spells.if you think:Treasured = 1.0Legendary = 2.0Fabled = 3.0then i'm about at 2.3 gear and 2.4 spelli know there are 3.0/3.0 defilers out there, so im not sure what is possible at full fabled spell/gear<div></div><p>Message Edited by sostrows on <span class="date_text">01-07-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:23 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>Gunzwei, 60 Defiler on Antonia Bayle</p><p> </p><p>The mob in question was  Uravun *sp?* Guard. This can be soloed using Djinn Master Strike, Debuffs, and wards. Just use the GEBs, FC, and Manastone. It's not hard, just takes  awhile. You just have to keep in mind that while a defiler can't deal insane dmg, he can survive just about anything. I will say that any defiler who duels a lot could probably do it, cause it feels a lot like dueling.</p><p> </p><p>As one of the NE PLUS ULTRA guys said, I wouldn't doubt that a fully raid fabled defiler could come fairly close to soloing PP.</p>

As long as theres no AE to take out Spiritual Circle and you can keep enough wards up and maintain your mana you should be ok at soloing heroics up to 58ish depending on what their attacks are and how many there are.  A 60 3^^^ is prolly doable IF he's a single, if there are 3 of them, you are done.  You might be able to go up to a 62 3^^^ if its all melee and you have mastery for that mob.  You just need really good gear, it has to be a single target and the mana regen to outlast the mob.<div></div>

<div>As for me i'm a hardcore raiding defiler lvl 60 with mainly T6 higher end fabled raid gear and all most all master 1 spells for lvl 50+ . Defilers are good soloers just we kill slow is all . I made most my lvls from around lvl 6 to 48 soloing and i leveled fast cus of it . made from lvl 1 to 50 in a month and a half cus i play alot and i know my class inside and out and at lvl 60 i can easly solo heroic ^^^ mobs in lower 50s to around level 55 . at level 56 they go blue on you and soloing can be done but we talking a 20 to 30 min fight for a kill whats crazy lol . my best solo kill i like is the X2 epic mob in the little zone you do quest for the haste ring . yha he mob is gray to you at lvl 60 but he is one bad azz guy with a ton of HPs . he can realy test how good a soloer you are fight taken me like over 20 min to kill but was a blast killing hem and trying not to die . i seen lvl 60s like wizzys git punked by the guy in the frist 10 sec of a fight trying to solo hem hahaha . if you want to test your skills as a soloer try hem on some time . ..... Not as fast as my bruiser (same lvl, same crappy equipment) but still, I'm impressed.
