<DIV>How about the debuffs like the Revulsion line, (reduce all stats)?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I noticed that we get several debuffs but they are costly to maintain.  Is it worth it to use your power to drop the stats? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Right now at 28 it isn't for me since they usually dont eat thru my ward by the time it expires, but I am looking long term and trying to fully understand the class. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Do you get enough of a bang for you buck by reducing the stats?  I imagine you are lowering his attack, making it easier to hit him, dropping his resists, lowering his max HP and power, but all to a nominal degree.  Does this outweigh another cast of your ward?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What type of Debuffs do you throw on in a normal group/raid situation in the 50-60 range?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I play a 60 defiler and I can assure you it is VERY much worth the effort to maintain your debuffs.  When you are attacking a group of mobs it is hard to debuff, so for those I would go strickly wtih wards and heals(unless you have time to debuff) but if you are attacking a single target debuff him.  It will cause him to hit you for less, slow down his attacks and make your overall job of healing alot easier.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At level 60 I use 3 main debuffs, a slow to reduce DPS and attack speed, a debuff to reduce all stats by a percentage, and a debuff to drop 3 stats by quite a bit.  If all 3 are on a big mob the mob will hit less often and for less amount of dmg.  This will cause you as a healer to have more time to ward and heal, and might even give you a chance to drop a few of your very big nukes (yes that was sarcasm)</DIV>

<P>Debuffs are great.. as stated above.. they can turn that ugly baddie into a purring kitten ready for the slaughter :smileytongue:..</P> <P>Reducing all stats by X% is a great debuff.. You lower their resists, and avoidance (Wiz / Agi portion).. So your groups DPS will increase substantially, as well as the damage taken by the tank, or any AE's is lowered substantially (Str / Int Debuff portion). On top of that you lower the mobs total HP with the STA portion of the debuff.. so it is extremely powerful when used in single target situations, IE Named / raid mobs.</P> <P>I cast all my debuffs on the big mobs.. including the secondary debuffs from our dots / DD's if in the right group.<BR>At level 60 here's the lineup:</P> <P>Abhorrence - Lowers all stats (str / wiz / agi / sta / int) by X%... Translated to Melee DPS / Resists / Avoidance / HP / Spell Damage<BR>Degenerate - Lowers Attack speed and DPS... Mob hits slower and for less damage<BR>Loathsome Seal - Lowers STR / STA / AGI / DEF ... Melee DPS / HP / Avoidance / Defense<BR>Fuliginous Tendril - Lowers Attack speed<BR>Infestation - Lowers WIZ... All resists <BR>Ruinous Anthena - Lowers Nox resists<BR>Caliginous Corruption - Lowers Nox resists AE (For multi mob encounters)<BR></P> <P>And of course.. don't forget to buff your tank with Tendrils of Terror.. chance to proc when Tank is hit, and Lowers DPS / Attack speed when it procs. Great buff, especially for those multi mob encounters (Meeting of the minds comes to mind with this one)</P>

<DIV>attacks speed reducers and dps reducers are the opposite of the similar buffs. Attack speed debuff affect autoattack speed only and dps debuff affect autoattack damage only</DIV>
