I have a bone to pick with sony for putting in our group cures as training abilities and the most important one is a level 10 ability. Who knew at level 10 I would need group cure noxious for high end raiding to be useful on some raids? I wasn't even thinking about raiding at level 10 I was thinking about what subclass to pick, and still figuring out the game only a week into playing everquest.. I was not looking on the message boards about what's the best thing to choose. I chose based on what I thought would be useful at the time and that is how it should be for trained spells, there should be upgrades to all the trained spells. Group noxious was just not useful at the time.. Yes I know you're thinking why don't you respec and trust me I would had I not created my character after the date in febuary that was cut-off. I am not allowed to respec, even once, and as a result am NOW kicked form groups on raids to replace me with someone who can group cure noxious. I know they are allowing respecing again after the combat revamp and that's fine for abilities that may be "useful" that people chose wrongly, but not a required skill. But for something as important as a group cure to be such low level abilities and your diminished in the high end game because you did not pick it when your a newbling running around the commonlands? I would like to see us getting a couple group cures as SPELLS, since we get trained noxious and trauma why not add those as spells anyone can get. And for the other priests who did not train in theirs give them also spells, whatever groups cures that they get as trained abilities.

I **think** they will be changing this in the upcoming priest combat changes or at least I hope they will. They've kinda hinted at it but never said they would though.

I agree it is unfair to have to make such a important choice so early on 'cause it should'nt be a important choice, it should be a choice for diversity and to match play styles not [Removed for Content] your self for raiding at the later lvls.

You'll be able to /respec after the combat changes go live in a few weeks, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Your real complaint should be the fact that you don't get the full range of choices like other priests. Other classes can choose all four group cures (noxious, arcane, elemental and trauma), while others can only choose a few. I believe defilers are currently the worst off with only two choices. I'd like to see them at least make all group cures available to all priests. The better way to do it would be to limit cures based on the priest's class specializtion. For example:

Everyone would get a group cure trauma option

Shaman - Group cure Noxious

Druid - Group cure Elemental

Cleric - Group Cure Arcane

but then you would have to have a shaman in every group in certain raids that need cure noxious, I think that one should go to all priests since its so necessary and I think it should be a spell that we all get, not a lvl 10 option. Traditions, training options, etc.. should be something that inhances your class as you see fit, at the level that you get it. For example you want to do more damage you spec in a dot or nuke, want to heal more spec in a heal. You should eventually get upgrades to them.. Thats what I did, the heal spec,at level 10 and it was great for the period of time I did use it.. but none of them should ever make or break you which is what I am finding out now.. I dont like how some of the training options are still useable at high levels and others become obsolete, should be consistent. I agree though as priests we should be on par with other priests for curing, with or without training options.

I feel your pain.

Now the big question - if you had the opportunity to get all four group cures and everyone always picks them because you know its needed for end game then...... no one will ever pick the other choices.

They should have made the basic spell upgradable and it goes from single to group target at Adept1. Master 1 would be able to cure a raid.
