<DIV>  I dont know how works the fear proc of the wraith form. Anyone knows and can say me how it works, is an area proc or only for single; is activated fear when you hit or when you are hitted???</DIV>

It seems to have changed recently - there is a 5% chance of a fear proc on every hit and so if it doesn't get resisted the target will flee if it has no DOTs on it (unlikely considering your offence is mostly DOTs). BUT I have noticed there is an area fear in effect too. I believe there is now a 5% chance of 'either' a fear proc on target or an area proc. And obviously the area proc is much more useful since additional mobs won't be doted and can run giving you extra breathing room with few mobs until it returns. I have definitely seen mobs adjacent to my target flee on a proc when I was not even targetting the. No hard evidence on this recent possible change though. <div></div>

<DIV>I'm fairly new to this game and chose my class based on the descriptions under "classes" on eq2players.com</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the description for the wraith from there says it's a poison proc. why was this changed to a fear proc?</DIV>

<P>For a long time fearing a mob underground would have it run off and "stick" the encounter with the group in combat mode.  You don't get on any friends lists doing that so melee underground was taboo for me for a long time.  It's still not 100% fixed but its better now.</P> <P>I have found a very good use for it though since it will even fear proc on an epic mob.  In a group, I debuff the first ^ or ^^ mob then once it has 1-3 debuffs (Atrophy + Suppuration + Fulg Coil) on it I switch to the second ^ or ^^ mob and melee it while slapping all my debuffs on it (Loathsome Seal, Atrophy, Keigwyn's Imprecation, Umbral Trap, Loathing).  Your group will be taking down the first mob fairly quickly so loading debuffs on it is kinda useless.  However, you have about 10-30 sec to land your STA debuffs on mob#2 to soften it up so when the group switches to it, it should go down real fast.  Also, if you fear proc mob#2 and it runs off - it's no longer hitting your MT 8-)</P> <P> I did some basic testing doing this in CT and found we took down 2 x ^ grps about 20% faster when I quickly shifted my debuffs to mob#2 about 6 seconds into the fight than trying to help kill mob#1.</P> <P> </P>
