<DIV>Hello Defilers!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm a swashbuckler and know nothing at all about your subclass. For this, let me apologize! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, I found an Apothic Touch master spell and am trying to figure out if it's any good. I'm in negotiations right now to find a good home for it. I want to be fair, but I don't want to get ripped off either <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, if you would be so kind, I have a couple of questions for you...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. Is the spell any good? Is it something you use? I believe it is a level 32 spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. Does it get replaced by a later spell? And, if so, at what level?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lunette</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I really like the spell. It is an AoE DOT that at Adept I does up to 80 or so dmg a tick, per mob. I use it all the time against groups of mobs (besides when I have an idiot enchanter in the group who mezes a single mob in a group of 4). It is (at lvl 40) still my only AoE spell. There is an upgrade to this spell at lvl 46.</DIV>

<DIV>LOL I would give you every copper I had for this spell. Well, ok , that wouldn't add up to much but you get the point.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes it is replaced at a later level (L46 I believe) so that might limit your market some but I would still think it worth a fair amount</DIV>
<DIV>Yeah its a very good spell if you fight groups of mobs. The cast time is long. Based on the inconsistency of spell strength/efficiency among the various upgrades, I would be wary purchasing this for too much money without speaking with someone who already had the spell and could tell me how it differs from the Adept 1 version. Going in blind, I might pay a 50G-75G for it. If I could determine it was a nice upgrade from adept 1, I would pay one plat+. This of course depends on your server's economy and your personal wealth, but its one man's opinion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To answer your question, yes it is a good spell for defilers in their 30's and low 40's. It is replaced later on, so its not going to worth as much as non-replaced master spells.</DIV>

Thank you all so much for your help. As to comparing it with others, that's a bit tricky... it's the only one ever found on the server, so it's unique, at least on Oasis. I'm a jeweler too, and I know, in general, upgrades are not as dramatic as it seems like they should be given the prices. That's for all subclasses I have looked at, not just defiler. There are a few exceptions (pet spells, for example). But, on my server, Adept III is reliably priced at 1p, so I think I will ask in the 1 - 2p range since this is a server-unique Master. Thanks again, you have been a big help

heh makes me feel so poor, I have like 40g to my name at level 39. I guess some crafter/adventurer person'd want it though maybe.. they seem to make a lot more.

If the lvl 46 update ain´t on the same timer this one would be a very good spell, usable on lvl 50, too.
