<DIV><STRONG>Defiler (Level 20)</STRONG></DIV> <UL> <LI>Drandamir's Draining Fog - An advanced form of Wailing Haze. As a bonus to Wailing Haze it decreases melee damage capability. <LI>Tierbold's Pestilent Miasma - An advanced form of Contagion. As a bonus to Mending Spirit it targets the entire group instead of one group member.</LI></UL> <P>Hmm...At 23 I don't even use wailing haze + contagion anymore (Degeneration + Contamination).  Should I be? Why would they update spells you'll be replacing very soon. </P> <P>And all the things they could have done with ward they went with...noxious mitigation?</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>I chose Everling's ward, after using it for about an hour , i felt like its slightly better than spectral ward (ie. absorbs slightly more dmg. )</DIV><p>Message Edited by Ozturk on <span class=date_text>01-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:27 PM</span>

<DIV>I wonder if the wailing haze would be allowed to be cast on higher level mobs and stack with degeneration though...I hate being a guineau pig heh.</DIV>

I have adept 3 Spec Ward and chose the Lvl 20 ward; I would say they both absorb ABOUT the same damage, while the training ward gives you +nox Mitig. IIRC. Can't wait til 26 when we get our THIRD ward that does stack with the other 2. It's a good day to be defiler!

<DIV>Tested out the new 20 training cadaverous ward and for me (lvl 21) it absorbs 457 damage which was a ok upgrade from the ap3 version I had before.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does anyone have the numbers of what the ad3 spectral ward absorbs?  It figuers, right after I got the new training ward I mined a silver so I can make a ad3 now.  I assume its prob not worth it to upgrade new ward I got so might go with contagion.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Omegarhino on <span class=date_text>01-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:21 AM</span>

<DIV>I was fighting a group of arrow down greens and one arrow up gree in the commonlands lat night.  I was testing out this new ward Someone's Cadaverous Ward.  Well, in my testing, I noticed that it seemed to be absorbing different ammounts of damage each hit.  This is odd as normally, a ward absorbs the mob's max dmg instantly instead a randomized number.  Can anyone else confirm this?</DIV>

My Adept 3 Spectral Ward has to absorb AT LEAST 600 damage at lvl 23.

<blockquote><hr>Cradossk wrote:<DIV>I wonder if the wailing haze would be allowed to be cast on higher level mobs and stack with degeneration though...I hate being a guineau pig heh.</div><hr></blockquote>Drandamir's Draining Fog is an orange con to me at level 24, where Wailing Haze is green. I hope this means I'll be able to use it for longer, and that it will stack with Degeneration (I'd be happy if I just got the lower melee damage from Draining Fog, and the reduced attack speed didn't combine with that from Degeneration). They do both show simultaneously in the maintained spells window.

<DIV>I still use everlings Cadaverous ward at 33 its green to me now. The issue with our high level wards still prevents me to use Spectral Guard as my main ward.</DIV> <DIV>But the ward just barely keeps me floating nowdays when fighting lev 35 mobs. And the agility "nerf" and boost on mobs 30+ is definately hurting me now.</DIV> <DIV>It is not with pleasure i take Main heal role anymore when the MT is plate tank. </DIV> <DIV>Although we are a wicked backup healer and it is usually there I am feeling comfortable and feeling that i am actually doing really good.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well to make a long story short, i am very happy with Everlings ward but i have no numbers how much its absorbing compared to spectral ward adept III</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>/Tryffel 33 Troll Defiler</DIV>
