<DIV>I currently have extremely average resists, about 3,500 av and was wondering how to go about increasing that towards the 5k level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Am I going to have to take hits to my WIS in order to equip high resist gear or just wait for the better raid gear to drop? Currently I am equipping Labs level gear in the main. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Currently (according to EQ2 players) my unbuffed Health (5237) and Power (5716) are around 20th server wide for mystics but my resists (3567) is only 47th. Seems to be a bit of a disparity there.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any ideas guys?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

If you're saying resists are important to you, I will assume you are planning on raiding. If so, do this: 1) Get your TInkerers Bag if you havent yet. 2) Get two of each crafted resist ring, and two of each earring. Put them in the bag. 3) Your raidleader should tell the raid what resist is needed any time its critical. 4) Put the appropriate resist gear on. 5) After the fight, put it back in the bag. And from now on, when you get a piece of gear, evaluate the whole piece, not just wether one stat like wis is better. Many times I have looked at a piece and thought it was junk, then when I got to the vendor to sell it, realized it was very nice in some category I wasnt expecting like resists. Work on filling up your whole bag with gear for different situations. In the end, you can use what you have as back up gear to avoid the cost of repair kits a bit. <div></div>

There are a lot of different zones that drop really good loot for resists. I found Nizara has some fairly good ones, the new KoS zones, and and lot of the raid loot in KoS has good resists. But, also, like Eepop said player made gear is fairly good as well.

Check out some of the EoF collection rewards and get them. There are items like the slayer tool collection reward that have decent stats (around 20wis, 90power, 500 to 4 resist or something) and you can get items from many collections for many slots. Immunities is an option if you feel u can afford it, and resist rings though I would not recomend that. Also stay away from items without resists such as crafted jewlery and such crap.
