I am a fairly casual style player that tends to run 2 accounts at one time when I do play. I am an altaholic and with my 2 accounts I have 10 slots filled at the moment, all over level 10 but the highest is level 25. I tend to get side tracked by shiny things like crafting, exploring, doing all possible quests and other misc. odds and ends like that. I have a couple of questions that have me puzzled at the moment, and I figured I would see what answers I get.1. I have finally narrowed down my characters and have decided that the Mystic/Defiler is the best option for my playstyle as one of the duo in case things go in the crapper. What would you pair up with if given the option between a Swashbuckler, a Monk or a Shadowknight?2. In the AAs for EoF there are those that change your spells to CA types. I have seen a reference that you would not have to upgrade your spells after spending AA points on them. Is this because you will be using the CAs instead of the spells? If you switch back to the spell version would you have less damage, but greater range? If you would want comparable damage in either situation you would still have to upgrade the spell version?3. Normal upgrade plans would be the group ward, single ward, your heals then your debuffs?4. Does the emergency ward that does not have a casting time upgrade as you level?Hopefully I haven't asked too many questions that have been asked before, I have been reading the boards for a long time, but seem to have missed these.

I would say defiler and shadowknight. The shadowknight doesn't dish out as much damage as the monk, but he's a more reliable tank when you're using wards. But high dps and FD are great things and worth considering in a duo team. More often than not, it's not keeping the tank alive that's the problem. It's keeping him alive long enough for you to chew the mob down.

SK and defilers compliment each other with the disease based buffs and debuffs.

I run a SK/Mystic duo and that works fine, but a defiler would probably be better. I think it's a matter of preference.

But one thing is certain. Don't go swashy. They're just not good enough in the tanking department.

The combat arts doing more damage than the spells is because when you put 8 points into Ancestral Authority from the KoS AA's every melee attack you do crits. Using those CA's from the spells will now crit for more damage than the master spell version. I just got my 5th point into Circle of the Ancients (the AoE one) and it now crits every mob it hits for about 1200 (this is at level 70 with pretty good gear I remind you)
