Spirit of the Wolf vs Mount

I'm was wondering how much the speed increase would be if I maxed out Spirit of the Wolf in my Mystic Tree.  Or would I be better off using those points somewhere else and just buying mount?  Which would be faster?  Thanks in advance for any help. <div></div>

You can however get a quest carpet more or less for free at level 50-60, that is 40% speed. Only you can really answer wether the 20% more from AA SoW is worth it for you. I am a bit hesitant to take it for fear that everyone will constanly demand to have it cast on them.  Right now my wife's troubador can give the whole group 40% runspeed with one click.   If I got super SoW, Itd be 6 clicks every 15 minutes, and it would proably end up only being 10% more runspeed than the selo, as someone is bound to not have thier Jboots on them, and then you probably want to not wear yours to drop to the lowest common denominator. But in the end...its not like we have a whole lot of options with our EoF AAs. <div></div>

I put the 5 points in SoW and love it.  I sold my horse as well.  Its annoying being asked for it every 30 minutes, but i live with it.  Its good for bribes too.  Also, its basicly required on a PvP server.

I never get asked for sow on my pve server. Not that it matters. It has a 2 sec cast time and someone will be happy for 30 minutes. I sow most of the people I meet. If they stand still where I stand still, chances are that they have 50% run speed a couple of secs later.

On a pvp server it is almost a necessity. The ability to stay in snake form and move at 50% run speed, both forward and backwards is invaluable.<div></div>
