<DIV>Anyone got strong feelings who should get Ancestry in a raid MT group for most effect?  SImple temptation has been to cast it on MT but probably makes more sense somewhere else</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dirge - PoS goes from 18 -> 21% for the whole grp (+ stun from CoB?)</DIV> <DIV>Templar - Heal proc items (claymore) + stoneskin</DIV> <DIV>Guardian - likely to have many buff procs cast on them - do they work? item procs for DPS/hate</DIV> <DIV>Coercer - ?</DIV> <DIV>MEEEE - wonder if dogdog ward procs? heal proc items</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<div></div>Probably Dirge, especially if the Templar has his group heal proc on him.MT is an equally viable choice.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Banditman on <span class=date_text>01-03-2007</span> <span class=time_text>10:23 AM</span>

<DIV>I'm usually in the MT group in a raid so it goes on the dirge.  In an xp or questing group i might keep it myself or give it to the tank.  In a pvp group i usually give it to the scout.</DIV>

This question made me think a bit.  As it turns out, I'd like to change my answer.Without a doubt, this needs to be on the MT.Percussion of Stone is a group augmentation, it's not something that the Dirge procs.  So, by putting Ancestry on the MT, you're increasing his chance to proc stoneskin.  The same concept holds true for the Templar stoneskin, except single target only.  It's placed on the MT.  I'd even have the Templar put Glory of Battle on the MT now, since Ancestry on the MT would help it proc too.Looking at it in that light, what is the Dirge really proc'ing?  Answer:  nothing.MT is proc'ing tons of things.  Glory of Battle, Percussion of Stone, Unyielding Benediction, Hemotoxin (if you've got an Assassin in the MT group for hate), Boon of the Damned (Warlock +power / threat transfer), weapon proc, reactive procs on armor . . . Yes, I'd definitely like to change my answer.  MT, hands down.<div></div>

It just depends. In raids, and if I'm in the MT group, then it goes on MT.In XP/regular groups. It depends here are also. If it's plate tank I usually give it DPS person, i.e. scout etc.  Otherwise it would go on tank.<div></div>

<DIV>Put it on the dirge last night to start with and got 18% proc on PoS (12% + (25%*12%) + 3%).  He read this as a groupwide proc percentage.  Later put it on the templar and got the same response.  Looks like the temp may win due to their other procs?</DIV>

I'd still put it on the MT.  He has SO many things going on, and let's face it, we're trying to make one player, the MT, capable of surviving the incredible damage an Epic mob spits out while holding it's attention against the incredible damage a raid generates.Everything else is secondary.  Why would I want extra Stoneskin on my Warden?  My Templar?  I don't.  I want it on the MT.So I cast Ancestry on the Dirge and everyone in the group has a slightly better chance to proc Stoneskin when they take damage . . . ok . . . .Or, I cast Ancestry on the MT and he gets a slightly better chance to proc Stoneskin . . . and Unyielding Benediction . . . and Hemotoxin . . . and his built in hate procs . . . and Glory of Battle (group heal) . . . and his weapon procs . . . and his reactive armor procs . . . Boon of the Damned . . . It's not even close.  Not even remotely close.<div></div>
