<DIV>Hi all, I have a 32 mystic, and I also have a 70 fury, and 62 warden. One of my favorite spells is the hate reducer. On the mystic at my level it's called Quelling Spirits. I dont pull aggro very ofton but when I do I make sure to cast this, problem being, it doesnt seem to work on the mystic. Works every time on the warden/fury. Is there something im missing, or is this a problem that will go away when I get my next "level" of this spell? Is it something thats always happened? Any help would be great. Ty in advance! </DIV>

Never had any problems with it, and I love the mez component on it.<div></div>

Aye never had any problem with it. But things I can think of related to it:Think it changes from a fear in apprentice to a mez in adept. It is very short range, cast it while the mobs are actually on you and it gets the ones in melee range to you. Can imagine it might not be effective against some of the large raid mobs due to the range, but most those mobs just think mystic and the mystic is down long before any deagro concerns. If you cast it just after running the mobs back to the tank sometimes a slow mob falls out of range. There is a caveat I think that you cannot give agro to someone that is not on the hatelist at all, nor do I think you can give agro back to someone who is only on the hatelist for proximity agro. So in the common case of someone in partry proximty agroing mobs and your group ward puts you on the hate list, you've got to get in range of the tanks ae taunt, before the deagro will get em off you.<div></div>

<DIV>I like using that spell during raids, immediately after pull on a group encounter. I don't use it all the time, just when I feel it might be useful, say like on the worm encounters in Deathtoll. I use it offensively, not defensively as probably was intended. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Why you ask? Because its a great stablizer tool, mezz the encounter long enough for the tank to fire off a few more taunts, and because if I get aggro, it in all likelyhood will not save me anyway. But if you can help stablize the encounter after inital pull, well lets just say it makes the healing job alot easier. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And, I guess I use the spell even more because, I hate having icons on my hotbars that I never or almost never use and I feel the need to push it.</DIV>

Why not just have your Enchanter do that if this is the desired result? Their Mez will last somewhat longer.<div></div>

<P>Enchanters are wussies <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> (j/k I love my enchanters) </P> <P>Its not usually the type of encounters where crowd control is an absolute must. Ones that I might specifically use it on are say the mobs prior to Truckasaurus in Clockwork. Or many of the group mobs in Halls of Seeing. </P>

Once again, you aren't doing anything that a Chanter can't do better. Ask them to do it so you can do the things they can't.<div></div>
