<DIV>I know resists have been adjusted a bit on LU#29, and I've noticed slightly more resists on my slows, but not a lot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Until I went to Shadowed Grove last night working on some Lesser Fay progressive quests.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was mentored down to level 56, and trying to debuff some level 58-60 solo con and heroic Shadowed Invaders, Corrupted Sprite lookin things, Ghosts and some other insect looking shadowed creatures.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The funny thing is, every creature in here except for the ghosts is supposed to be EXACTLY what I specialize in killing. I even thought to myself that I could come back here and solo some of this stuff pretty easily. I was dead wrong.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My dots were resisted typically 3 out of 4 casts. (All Adept 3 or Master 1 atm btw.) My slows were resisted as much as 7 times in a row, but usually only took 3 or 4 casts to get one to stick. (Which amounts to about the time it dies from the group.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I found all my spells to be useless enough here that soloing these would be a MAD mana drain just warding myself and meleeing them down. I also tried scream of ancients (Or whatever the latest poison/disease debuff is) and it of course was resisted every time. (Only 5 tries, but that was enough)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So is there any other way for us to debuff resists? I don't usually have this kind of trouble landing spells on mobs, even if they're 3-4 levels above me. This appears to be unique, but makes this a really useless area for Mystics, which defeats the purpose of being "Extra" powerful against beings of Shadow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thoughts?</DIV><p>Message Edited by Gojirax on <span class=date_text>12-14-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:18 AM</span>

According to the changes you need to max out both your spells and skills to be able to do everything. But higher level mobs are definitely going to resist more. But that aside resists are broken.  Don't know if they are working on them or not...<div></div>

<DIV>Hmmm, I figured Adept 3 and Master 1 would be sufficient, and my skills are maxed. I don't usually have quite enough resists to consider it broken (Although it's a little on the high side on average) but in Shadowed Grove I considered it broken.</DIV>

Unfortunately, higher tier spells and casting skills that are sitting at the pre-EoF maxed values aren't enough anymore. If they were, it would be hard to see what had changed. That said, it's still freakin' annoying.Where we're at right now is needing +ordination/subjugation/disruption skills on our gear to get over this new hump of casting inadequacy. These skills have been on gear since T6 but never made much of a difference until now. There are also adornments that add casting skills. Try to focus on one skill, let's say ordination since I believe that's what our debuffs check against when being cast. Try to get 10 or more points over your current max, then go see if you can land your debuffs any easier.<div></div>
