If you want to group, and maybe some day raid, Mystic is a great class. If you want to solo, you are better off elsewhere. As for being a mystic, the main points of wisdom, which you probably know if you played a Templar: 1) Upgrade your spells before your gear. 2) Ward first, use direct healing only when absolutely neccessary. 3) The benefit of debuffs is proportional to the difficulty of the enemy.  In a full group in normal content, debuffs can often just be a waste of time.  In raids they are indispensible. A few more tangental things about being a mystic 1) As far as KoS AAs go, you either got STR/INT, or STR/AGI.  With the end line of strength, the pet can be very good, otherwise, he is not.  Other builds are possible if you really dont like the pet, but you will be reducing your effectiveness on raids pretty significantly. 2) As far as EoF AAs go, yes res line sucks, cure line is not that great and possibly just broken, melee line is useful if you find yourself healing fine in groups and want to add a little DPS there and when soloing, and buff line is pretty good. 3) Defilers buff more HP than you, even with the AAs to boost your buffs. <div></div>

I hope you enjoy your mystic, if not I might suggest a conjuror.  They are pretty different, but it seems that for quite a few in the mystic community, having a conjuror alt has helped to curb some of the frustrations that come with being a mystic. It worked for me at least. <div></div>
