Helm of Clandestine Rites

<DIV>This is the relic armour that drops in amongst other places, Labs. Got my first piece the other day......what a disappointment! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>+20 WIS ?! (Ok...I accept I do get + power and health too)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>True you get Flowing Thought VIII but compared with my old Hood of Farseeing I am down on WIS, I lose +23 INT and +4 ORD to say nothing of the disease and divine resists.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As I see it is a raiding hat and that is about it. The flowing thought DOES help make me self sufficient in the power regen (along with my prismatic) for maybe up to 10 minutes but in situations where I MAY need to hit things and take direct damage I seem to lose A LOT. It will NOT be replacing my soloing gear.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else disappointed with what we got dealt here compared with other classes? Do we get better stats on the other armour pieces of the set?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After the wait.... I am left feeling a little hollow I must say.....:smileysad:</DIV>

It might be the best to have two sets, one for raid and one for solo/group. Works for me...<div></div>

But do have raids and the rest of the game to be two worlds ? <P>I actually agree, it just was comical to me that he stated that an item he got from a raid zone was only good for "raiding".  It really was a joke comment and not meant to provide much substance to the thread.</P> <P>The truth of the matter is any raid achivieved helm I have seen is outweighed easily by the tribal spritist hat in all situations.  A shaman on the ball can achieve a flowing thought of 41 from the hat and that is outside of the ft cap entirely.  Its effect in all honesty is too good.  (I know I'll be killed for that statement <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</P> <P>What I am curious to see is if the new set armor will actually have enough worth to make me want to put the tribal spiritists hat on a switch.  I know as soon as a set up keys to put it on a switch that even when I want to constantly use it, my effective flowing throught rate from it will go down.  But thats a statement to itself about how good the item is.  I don't see it going out of the raiding mystics arsenal until something even better comes along to replace it or they nerf the hell out of the hat.</P>

My WIS sits at around 525 so I am not THAT concerned by the loss of that stat....and the helm is my only fabled piece, armour or jewelery. It is just that I was expecting a WIS of +28 or more on a fabled priest item. I do realise that relic is not full-on fabled but I didn't expect basic stats to be a downgrade from legendary gear.</P> <P>AND I STILL look like an Ewok when I /show helm!!</P>

The doomseer leggings (mana font) aren't bad either.</div><hr></blockquote>I have an entire hotbar (out of <img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> devoted to gear switching.  I wear my relic hat all the time to start a battle and only switch out to Tribal during casting sometime.</div>
