After reading the forums for a bit, i've started to wonder how aggro works for the mystic's wards. Basically, it comes down to three things for me.1.) Do you generate aggro only on cast of a ward?or 2.) Do wards generate aggro only on the absorb ticks?or 3.) Is it both?I'm used to the aggro rules from WoW, and i keep thinking it's like a power word: shield. Clearly it doesn't work like that, since i've read a lot about watching for aggro gain on the AE wards.<div></div>

Very small amount of aggro on casting a Ward since it's a buff. Any amount of damage done or a taunt will overcome this aggro. On absorbs, you get aggro as if whatever damage absorbed was a direct heal.<div></div>

<DIV>When you have a ward up on anyone the ward does increase the hate towards you. A good tank will keep the aggro away from you by taunting on the pull, however, if you notice that the mobs make a mad dash to you instead of the tank, your ward is pulling aggro to you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here are things you can do to resolve this situation.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) Do not ward your tank before the pull. I have seen the same from monk, Guard, Zerker, and SK. Your tank may be taunting, but the level 74 4x epic may be resisting more. </FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please also note that other buffs will increase your hate in the mobs, such as the casting of Bolster or having Torpor up, etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>I can not agree more here. On a long pull its good to have bolster already casted, fireing this spell off during the pull is a high chance of mystic dead aggro.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope this helps,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Zogarr, 70 Mystic</DIV><BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE><BR><p>Message Edited by AbyssLabolith on <span class=date_text>12-02-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:22 AM</span>
