View Full Version : Pet seems to be really fragile since EoF launch

I noticed that green non-named solo mob (10 levels below my own) almost killed my pet with few hits when I was wandering in EoF areas. I recall that before EoF it could tank a bit against non-name solo blues, but now it feels REALLY fragile. Is this intended effect or just a bug?<div></div>

I noticed the same thing last night while exploring the Lesser Faydark.  Granted the mobs were white or yellow, but my pet seemed to die much more quickly then before.<div></div>

I never had any luck getting my pet to tank gray mobs, let alone something XP colored.<div></div>

No it isn't reliable, but my pet has died enough in the past for me to get a sense of what he can take.  Perhaps its just perception.  However, it does feel like the mystic pet is more fragile now.  For green and blue con mobs, that might be because they were made more of a challenge.  For higher conned mobs it might have something to do with the adjustments made to all mobs because of the stat changes.  I don't know.<div></div>

<DIV>I didn't personally notice anything different than usual when I was running around Loping Plains working on some quests.</DIV> <DIV>Most of the mobs were blue and green, I had him set to attack when something hit me. He occassionally got agro and only died one time when I was jumped by a group of lvl 68 named vampires /shrug. Of course I would have died as well had I not fled for a zone.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>He still took a couple hits just fine while I debuffed the mob to get agro. Worked the same way as it always did for me.</DIV>

From what I understand the MOBs in EoF are actually hitting harder than the critters in the older zones.<div></div>

Still, pet was already fragile enough even before that one, so I would have expected that devs would have tuned it at least a bit.</div>

Didn't have too many problems in Labs last night.  It died whenever the raid wiped, but AE's and AoE's barely touched it; of course I waited about 30secs before sending it in...<span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

In raids pet is actually useful due to ward and ae immunity proc, but it is pretty much hopeless in grouping and soloing. And it cannot tank at all.</div>

I dont think anyone is HAPPY about his survivability Felix....but it seems like it hasnt changed much for most of us as a result of EoF. When we got the dog, we all ranted and raved up and down how he needed to be more survivable.  Nothing happened. Since KoS came out, I just learned that I tank better than the dog under all conditions.  He is a mana free dot and maybe some other effects, but he has never been a tank, even for solo mobs. <div></div>
