<DIV>I recently hit lvl 61 and need some some opinions from you guys. I am a armorer so I can make my own armor. I need to know if I should craft some Xegonite for when I hit lvl 62 or if I should get some mediocre armor until I get high enough to buy some Legendary armor (Fabled is a bit too pricy since I dont raid).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know everyone has there own opinions on Mastercrafted vs Legendary armor so I would like to hear what works good for you guys. If I make Xegonite should I get Brigandine (sta, wis, int) or Reverent (str, wis, int). If I go Legendary, what pieces should I keep an eye out for. Thanks for any help!!</DIV>

Do you group? <div></div>
<DIV>I didn't really bother to get any Xegonite pieces, simply b/c the drops that were coming out of new zones were better & cheaper than the rare tradeskilled armor. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you are still level 61, then I would just stick it out in your t6 gear until you can get some of the better legendary pieces out there. Mantle of the orate, the hat from Vaults, etc. If you group quite a bit, consider doing the claymore quests, as you will get a lot of very usable gear from the quests in that line. </DIV>

Also don't leave out treasured. Some of the higher level treasured gear is pretty good stuff.
<P>Yup. </P> <P>Actually, the treasured chain stuff that comes out of SoS has nice wisdom, and decent resists, if you just have to upgrade. You will take a hit on mitigation though, so if you are soloing quite a bit, that might not be the best option. You can find it pretty cheap on the broker as well, since it drops like candy. </P> <P>Whatever you decide though, realize that it is just temporary. </P><p>Message Edited by Terq on <span class=date_text>10-02-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:50 PM</span>

The standard non-raiding shaman gear seems to be: Mantle of the Orate (level 60 shoulders), Greyruin Hauberk (level 66 chestpiece), Flayed Vultak Leggings (level 63 leggings I believe) and Rezhirz's(sp?) Bracers of the Task (level 63 bracers I think). Those are all Legendary and have decent mitigation and stats for a shaman. On my server, they are all pretty cheap too, like 25-40gp per piece. I would definitely recommend going for them and then look for either Xegonite brigandine/reverent for the other slots or other Treasured pieces that have good wis/power. As has been said, there are some decent Treasured items out there worth consideration.Hope this helps.<div></div>

I don't think I've ever used player crafted armor.<div></div>

I did . . . back when endgame was L50. I had a full set of Fulginate armor waiting for me when I dinged L40 . . . back in February . . . 2005.<div></div>

Thanks for the advice guys!! Really helpful information.
<P>I had a bit of fulginite, and the ebon pieces that had wisdom on them - gloves, shoulders, hat, etc. It was harder to find chain armor with wisdom back then. </P> <P>I also had quite a bit of cobalt. </P>

<P>Hello fellow Mystics :smileywink:</P> <P>I have been fortunate enough to attain the lofty level of 60 Seasons in the last few days. I believe it is time to upgrade a few of my tattered wearings. With that in mind, might I ask for a few suggestions. I am currently wearing cobalt chainmail on most armor slots. With two exceptions, my arms are now "Mantle of the Orate " and my boots are a pair of Legendary chain with Flowing Thought III I believe? (am not at home to check).</P> <P>My thought was to complete a set with Xegonite brigandine/reverent as soon as wearable, though I imagine my old armor would be OK until 62 ? I also need advice on good jewlery for all slots... including the Charm as I find I am still using a "manastone" :smileysad: here !</P> <P>Also if you would, can you enlighten me on what WIS cap I should be looking for at my level? I usually look for WIS and INT items as I solo or duo often and this seems to help with the good armor!</P> <P>I welcome all suggestions gratefully....</P> <P> </P> <P>Erithorn</P> <P>Mystic of Oasis</P>

<div></div>Grouping Head to Sanctum of Scale, tons of good stuff in there for us. And don't be afraid to wear leather if the stats are good. Solo Xegonite is pretty good. Consider wearing some "Melodic" pieces too, the extra int helps squeeze out a little more damage, and some peices also have offensive casting skills on them. Charms Look on the broker for "hex doll", find the best wis(or int)/money ratio and buy two of those. Wis Cap Mystics do not need to worry about a wis cap, its [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] near impossible to hit in everything except a lucky raid group. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Eepop on <span class=date_text>10-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:50 AM</span>

Around L63 or 64 you need to start farming the shiznuts out of Vaults of El'arad until you get yourself a Tribal Spiritists Hat.Even if you don't have any intention of finishing, you should consider doing the Qeynos Claymore line of quests. Many of the rewards through that quest are very nice.<div></div>

Use the Hood of Farseeing if you don't have the class hat. Picked up Gauntlets of the Garden (?) in Nek 3 the other day...only leather but nice spec and good resists.

<P>Don't bother crafting armor for your Mystic. Lots of good gear with high wisdom stats drop in SoS, Den, Nest and Vault. If you can't get it grouping, or farming, just buy it. Of course this was all said in post prior to mine.</P> <P> </P> <P>Vulking, 70 Mystic</P> <P>Nocturnal Souls/Crushbone</P>

<DIV>I personally made several pieces of xegonite brigadine for myself (why, I HATE how the mantle of the orate and all that lavender/pink stuff that comes from sanctum look, HATE HATE HATE) and with what armor I already had and the brigadine xegonite stats the stats I had were dandy, very comparable. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Worth noting that I didn't buy any of the xegonite clusters, I had one from a collection and the others I'd harvested while trying to get adamantine for my armorer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you have to buy xegonite, it's not really worth it. Unless you are like me and just couldn't bear to wear that other stuff.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've since replaced it all however with various legendary pieces from the KOS instances. </DIV>

<DIV>I just suited up in full Xegonite last weekend thanks to a buddy of mine. I was wearing mostly the chain armor from SoS (And those gawdaweful PINK sleeves!) before and to be honest, that SoS set and the aweful sleeves would have been just fine.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you can go Xegonite without much hassle, I highly reccomend it though! The +STA, +WIS and +INT on the entire set, along with the massive AC boost makes the full set really nice for durability, DPS and overall power pool.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't had the chance to go try to solo something since I've gotten my new suit, but my Mitigation went to almost 3k with that, which is about a 500 AC jump.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Overall when I switched from the SoS drops to the Xeg I gained about 400 power, 500 HP and 500 AC. (And my magic damage went up by about 20% overall from the added INT.)</DIV>

I wore the Xegonite Reverent boots well into t7 raiding simply because wis chain boots are a real pain to find. Definitely don't be afraid to wear some nice leather pieces if you can't find chain. You can also get some decent stuff with t6 pickup raids, that are almost as good/better than t7 treasured, plus the raids are fun at 65-70. Two groups of 65 - 70's and you can get the stuff in Courts and Gates. I got some nice stuff goofing off in those zones with some guildies (Fetid Chainmail bits aren't bad) and the pieces I got really helped tide me over <span>:smileyhappy:</span><span></span></div>
