Some want only fabled gear..some want ALL master 1, some want HP, some want power, some want ressists, some want to max out their stats. What is yours?Right now, mine is power. ..more power..as much power as i can get...i spend days worth of dkp for ANY power increase..Lol, yesterday i spent a week of raiding dkp for an increase in 11 power and 3 wis.Right now, no buffs, no potion, nothing, clean after a death i have 6220 power. And i still have tons of room for improvment. 2 more treasured pieces i need to replace badly.I am not sacrificing anything to get this power btw, im at 30 in combat power regen on items, 7k hp buffed, without avatar on me and 49% mit.Let me hear your obsessions...what you work toward?EDIT this is the link to my mystic alt http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/player.vm?characterId=128953117
Message Edited by Florin on 08-09-2006 06:39 AM

Intresting ,

Power Regen is where its At , doesnt matter how much Power pool you start with if you cant Rgen it even 7000 Power doesnt last you more than a cpl of mins.

Total Grp FTcap at 105 means with a single Power regen class , you need your self power Regen to be as cloose to 64 as you can be ( personal FT cap is 71 BTW ).

If your MT group with Coercer + Dirge like you should be , you can get away with only having 23 , which is pretty much coverd by your Godking + MOA (neck).

Obviously you run your Tribal spirtualist Hat on top of this giving you an Additonal 410 power / min ( equals FT 41 ).

I have enough FT to Push my Solo Ft to 98 , but it capps out at giving me 71 power back / tick , so i just switch them out depening on resists..

We Cleared Lyceum this weekend with only 3 healers in Raid . the 7 minute fight against Vilucidae the Priest of Thule .

Allies: (07:02) 2915153 | 6907.95 [Overkill-Decapitate-19175]
Evengrace | Healed 191120 HPS >> 453 Mystic (me)
Okae | Healed 148423 HPS >> 352 Templar
Brazier | Healed 118216 HPS >> 280 Templar
Abdgar | Healed 11667 HPS >> 28 Drige
Ambrosia | Healed 8109 HPS >> 19 Necro
Yuwu | Healed 3187 HPS >> 8 Conj

Was able to run constantly without having coming close to being low on power .

Live update 18 *** Items *** - Many level 50+ tradeskilled bucklers now provide a wisdom benefit. - Item Health and Power regen rates now all use the same regeneration standard and cap out at the following currently: * In-combat HP regen cap is (3 x Level ) * In-combat Power regen cap is (1.5 x Level) * In-combat item HP regen cap is (3 x Level x 0.5) * In-combat item Power regen cap is (1.5 x Level x 0.5)So items FT cap is actualy 53, not 71...anything over that is useless. My question wasnt about what is better, FT or powerpool, was asking about obsessions...i know how FT works, im just a big fan of a big power pool. Not to mention that i run at 31 actualy FT, with 3 treasured stuff still on me, one being a bracelet which i want to replace with the one from cuve with FT 8 and 2 others being the rings, again i am looking for FT rings. In the end ill cap FT and still manage the big power pool

At L70 there are really only two choices for functional and coordinated armor sets . . . Doomseer full set is a very dark, charcoalish gray:This is the relic armor (Mystique modeling):Yes, her PC rocks.

After doing a comparison I prefer doomseer over relic. Maybe interchanging one or two pieces, but supposedly the new expansion is going to have atleast one new set.

The effects on relic BP, legs and helm are pretty darn nice. On purely a stat standpoint, a set of doomseer is better.

Im using relic bp, legs, helm and doomseer for the other stuff (doomseer legs bagged for swap-n-click). Good mixture of effects and stats, but the chicks sure don't dig my look though.

Yeah, I ended up going with the Doomseer bp and the Relic legs and mix and match for the rest of the small pieces so... not looking good for a coordinated outfit anytime soon. I was holding out for the Relic bp but when the Doomseer dropped my resolve quickly disappeared.

Everything!! My goal is 8k hp (currently at 7909), 7k power (currently at 6831) and all resists over 5k (cold 4878, disease 5064, divine 6790, heat 6627, magic 5078, mental 4877, poison 6220) sooo close to having all at once. I can get all the resists to aobut 5500 and above, but then my power and hp dive by about 150.

I dont worry about regen. I never run outta power. In raids I have two regen classes in my group and combined they hit me up for 98 a tick, which means I only need 7 in equipment (which I already hit)

In regards to what the poster (Witterquick) made about regen.. In combat regen is as follows

3xlevel for HP regen, 1.5xlevel for Power regen.

Within power regen, only .75xlevel can be equipment.

So at level 70, you can have 105 in combat regen, but only 52.5 of that can be equipment.

You could have 105 in spells. (but no more in regen)

This is where the tribal spiritualists hat, manastone, and the doomseer leggings come into play.

Edit :

And of course, Master 1s are the way to go! hehe Im only missing Umbral Liturgy (70) and Ebbing Spirit (70)

Message Edited by Munter78 on 08-17-2006 10:52 AM

I dunno if I really have an obssession with my toon, a good mix of FT + lots of power + procs that benefit my Mystic's ability to do her job perfectly. I'm mostly just about playing my best game and making people wonder why they can't replace me when I'm not around :smileywink:.To Florin, kudos on 9k power, that's no small feat. May I ask what raid buffs you had on you that helped you reach that number? At first glance the 671 wis might appear to help a lot, but anything over the cap does nothing for you.

Warden and coercer int he group. Yes, everything over 510 wis adds nothing to my power.I still have room for improvment, right now im wearing a ring with only 65 power and a bracelet with 80 power.I also have Anagog mystic BP, only 85 power, waiting for a relic one, 120 and only the doomseers bracelets, 70 power.Everything else is 110-130. As i said, i am obsessed with power right now. After a clean death i have 6275 power.Im not neglecting other stuff either, im on 41 FT from items and running with 53.1% mit , just ym self buff.Right now the goal is 7500...if i get the items im hoping for i can get that..and cap FT, couse the bracelet i want, from cube, has 8 FT.

Things have kind of changed for me this tier...At first, mana regen, power, etc, etc... all that stuff was my serious goal. Over time, however, that has changed (much in fact due to what was explained excellently in the second post). My goal now? Skill, knowledge and understanding. I'm hungry to understand every mechanic behind every class. I want to know what goes on behind the scenes, and I want to tweak out every advantage I can from it. I'm really starting to focus on learning other classes (right now I could definitely put up solid numbers playing ANY priest class, and in some cases, I could play them just as well as their everyday players)... I am a firm believe that the key to understanding your class is to understand other classes, and how everything fits into the overall picture. When someone mentions a spell/CA they have... I look it up, or ask them what it does. When I hear them mention a type of ability they have, I look up the name of the spell/CA. When we wipe, I pop open my in-game spell list and study. When we afk? Same thing. I bug other people about their classes whenever I can. I think I have my crap together, I know what the hell I'm doing, and I do it well. Communication between classes/members is what takes things to the next higher level as a raid force, and my studies help my guild every time I raid, whether I'm leading it that night or not.So I suppose my obsession with my character has progressed into an obsession with my raid force and guild =P

Leveling alts are a good way to educate yourself about the workings of other classes :smileyhappy:That's what I do

I've done a small amount of that... I'd prefer to just play other (raid-equipped) characters to learn them (in raids).
