on mystics and soloing

so i started a mystic a while ago, got him to level 4, decided he was boring, and stopped playing him. two days ago, i start playing him and have a BLAST. i've always liked playing healing classes, and the ward type of heal is awesome in my opinion. I find that ive been able to solo very well, with no problem. I'm level 17 now, solo'd up to 14, then got a good group for fyremist gully and got to 17 real quick. my main attack spells are all adept I, is that why i dont have a problem soloing? i ask this because ive heard that mystics are very slow soloers, but ive found that its not really that slow at all. its no wizard or ranger, but its no templar. does soloing as a mystic slow down a lot in the higher up levels? or does it stay about the same?also on a side note, do we ever get an aoe damage spell?

The Mystic Soloing Break Down by Level Levels 1-20 are like lighting. Levels 21-35ish are acceptable. Levels 35-70 just sucks more or less. Level 70 with enough AAs is back to acceptable. <div></div>

levels 1-20 are pretty fast for everyone.  We are no exception.  However, you will notice things start to tail off after that.

<P>Hehe =)</P> <P>The soloing part's already been summed up pretty well.</P> <P>But yes, we get an encounter AoE line (I use that spell a lot since my duo partner is a berserker and also enjoys multiple mobs). We do not however get a true aoe which would hit multiple encounters. Only the single encounter based line.</P> <P> </P>
