Wards bugged since LU25?

<DIV>I've noticed since the patch thursday that damage is making it through the wards.  My group was in RoV with a 32 monk tanking.  I would wait a second after he pulled to ward.  Even with the ward showing damage left to absob, the monk was taking damage.  A few times there were DoT effects on him, but many times there were not.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else experiencing this?</DIV>

<DIV>Ive noticed dmg going through the mystics ward for at least the past year.  Defilers ward holds much much better, even prevents power drains.  I understand that some people say "it went through the ward because the ailment was on the tank before the ward was up"  but Ive even prewarded and have seen the tank taking dmg with the wards still up.  Maybe unmitigatible dmg always goes through?  But it seems the defilers doesnt have this issue.  So I dunno.  If I wasnt completly mastered out (cept for the lvl 70 group ward)  I'd betray to a defiler.  The class is just way overpowered compared to the mystic.  </DIV>

<DIV>What defilers wards do and what mystic wards do are pretty much identical.  If a defiler blocks damage, we block damage and vice versa.  Power drains can be blocked by certain things, but that is really dependent on the actual spell that is being cast.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for our wards leaking, for a brief period after the kingdom of sky was released our wards actually did leak.  This was discovered to be associated with our critting being bugged.  This issue has been corrected and as far as I know there are no known issues with wards truely leaking.  Certain things still do damage while wards are in place and this effects both defilers and mystics.  There aren't issues as much as they are designed mechanics.  Monks haste and the manastone are two examples of this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I won't argue that defilers have the leg up on mystics in some areas.  But I don't agree with the idea that they are the end all be all uber class.  If you are only interested in playing the end all be all healer, your right, its probably not a mystic.  Probably not a defiler either.</DIV>
