I was glancing at the spells after someone mentioned they can take on different shapes.... What lvls are the shapeshifting spells? I heard Mystics can turn into Bears, Beavers, Elks and Snakes. I couldnt see which spells these were though.

First we get the bear, and yknow you're a pretty big bear. Most people /hide it cause otherwise we squash our team members going down those dungeon corridors. Then we get the beaver. The beaver is very cute. The beaver is freakin big. The beaver is at least as big as the bear. Some sort of giant prehistoric beaver ancestor. So I saw 'Form of the Great Stag', well I thought, I'm going to be a nice imposing big deer with antlers and stuff that should be like big horse sized right? Wrong. Maybe it's just my slightly frail half-elf toon, but my mystic 'Great Stag' has a body the size of dogdog. 'Great Stag' more like novelty Dwarf Stag. It's hysterical.
Where can you buy slithering form of the serpent?

I can't remember seeing it on the broker in the Qeynos temple. Maybe I just need to check again?

There is one good point to the illusions. They go on in the order you cast them! There is no reason not to have the bear form up, due to the added sta, but it is big and will take up a lot of space in a dungeon.

While (as far as I know) /hide will hide your illusion, it is only your own illusion it hides - not others. Hence - if you first cast the birdy illusion and then the bear, you will only see the bird illusion and no mobs will be lost inside you. You just need to redo the illusions every time you zone.

You can buy all of your fun spells off the Mystic trainer in Qeynos. There is also a Sparkly spell that you can purchase as well at level 50. You can purchase the sparkly one in Qeynos and in Maj'Dul. The name escapes me. It goes over all your shape shifts. But, I guess the sparkle doesnt count as a shape shift. I love running around as a sparkly stag! :smileyvery-happy:

Question: I am on a pve server, I bet the snake form rocks in pvp. It keeps you out of their line of sight.

The snake form is very useful in raids: you take up less room and don't block the vision of others, and I like to believe that it contributes slightly to the reduction of lag... but on the other hand, sometimes you "Can't See Target" for healing due to line of sight

Message Edited by Amanodel on 06-27-2006 09:26 AM

Beaver is great on raids to. It makes everyone laugh while you waiting for someone to get COH'ed or such.

Stag is dangerous, everytime I change to that the rangers start pulling out their rifles.

Don't turn into a stag around any druids either. Last time a mystic did that around me, he was just a head and some fingers when his illusion wore off...

I swear, I didn't know
