so im planning on starting a mystic, have it at level 4 now :p and i have some questions how hard is it for mystics to solo? what type of weapon should i use? 1h crushing/slashing and offhand thing or 2h? on our shapechange forms, do all of them give bonuses? or only the bear form. if they all do can someone list the bonuses of all the forms? i see that mystics have a lot of str, but WHY do we have a lot of strength, just because of AA line? i played a prist to max in WoW, does mystic compare at all? thanks

Message Edited by terr0rdemon on 06-20-2006 08:16 AM

Regarding the soloing aspect - T7 is very difficult from my perspective (I am a casual solo player). The earlier tiers were quite a bit of fun.

Message Edited by Godflower on 06-20-2006 12:34 PM

Soloing is slow but fairly safe at any tier. Just remember to buff yourself (and your pet if you are going to use him to pull) before you start. You can quite easily solo duos/trios of one ups 2 levels above you if you are conscious of your manna and don't waste your DoT's by recasting before they have burned out. Spam your HO's and if things get a little too hot hit your instantaneous ward before high tailing it out of there and running them off.

But it is SLOOOOOW! Also I am convinced that I am seeing a far higher incidence of interrupts recently which really does screw up our solo ability.

Far quicker to duo or group....you get xp far quicker that way. The only time it is worth soloing at my level (62) now is to quest and get reasonable xp that way, otherwise it will take you FOREVER to level!

A mystic gets no big bangs, so the soloing mostly consists of outlasting the mobs - Hence, shield yourself and dot the mob and be patient. Healing NPC's are the most problematic, because you don't get any good finishing blows (except the master strikes).

When you get the doggie, then learn to use it correctly (/pet backoff every time you summon it or zone, pet at the back of the mobs etc.). It works as a decent dot, but has no tanking abillity at all and with AA's it gets some nice tricks.

When soloing, learn when to take your time and when to nuke!
