Was wondering what people's experience has been with the STR line especially the AoE immunity component. Does it work well? Is it worth pursuing? It seems the dog doesn't have enough HP to survive hits long enough to grant the wards. <div></div>
<DIV> <DIV>Aura of warding will go off when the dog attacks or is attacked. It works very well, given the limitation that the dog is not a tank and should not be taking hits.</DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What spiritual foresight does is allow the dog to bring other things to the group, such as the aura of warding, haste, immunities, etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Disclaimer: I am speaking as a raiding Mystic.STR line should be the very first line you take all the way. As soon as you scrape together enough points to get Spiritual Foresight, you should immediately dump all your points into this line. This is not to achieve AE protection for your group, but rather for your pet.Until you have AE immunity for your pet, he's absolutely worthless. Once you have it, he becomes a weapon.Aura of Warding at rank 8 is a 24% chance to proc . . . meaning it's nearly ALWAYS up.Aura of Haste is "nice" but not earth shattering, and Leg Bite is a nice little DPS bump for solo'ing.<div></div>

As long as you have Spiritual Foresight, your pet will live through most raid mobs.. the only ones that give problems that I have noticed are in Ascent where the mobs cast encounter AE's on the MT group.. if you're in that group your pet will bite it.. as well, any mobs with a Damage shield (Like Corsalander in Labs) will also wear down your pet in a hurry..</P> <P>Everything else you're good to go.. My dog lives through just about everything else.. lived through Vyemm with no problems at all last night..</P>

<P>We we hit Vyemms, I send in the dog right away. It's always attacking and never dying. The aura of warding will in most cases do 10-25% of all healing during an encounter (non-named), and at the same time dish out a whooping 100 dps.</P> <P>The spiritual foresight will prevent a lot of damage as well, although that's not very visible in parsers.</P> <P>The strength line is an absolute must for shamans. Whether you want to put 4 or 8 points in Aura of Warding is up to yourself, but the doggie is nearly useless until you get spiritual foresight.</P>

My personal choice is to go STR / INT lines. In the STR line I get Aura of Warding and Spiritual Foresight with a side order of Haste. That line is spec'ed to minimum except Aura of Warding which is rank 8.In the INT line I get Virulence, Immunities and a nifty little toy in Rabies. I'm taking Immunities to rank 8 and Virulence to rank 5, which completely wipes out my 50 AA's. Rabies is kinda fun when you're in a group rounding up a ton of blue mobs on a quest - it's an unlocked AE.<div></div>

Interesting that we are both Mystic / Conjurors. </FONT></P> <P><FONT size=5>Shame that I will have to add to my Strength for this line. As a Dwarven Mystic I already have Strength out the wazzoo. Dwarven strength, Mystic buff strength, some from my items even if I chose them for their Wisdom.</FONT></P> <P> </P>

i took str 44448 because you can forget every petbuff if the pet isn´t ae immune. with this line i have more str than our guildranger too! (<span>:smileyvery-happy:</span>) then int 4448 for the group resi and the stat debuff (and ubba spell dmg). but if you stand on max heal range, and your pet attacks for ward/ae immune proc you dont geht this 801 resi. but if you´re on max range, you don´t need the pet resis ... . .. 3rd choose was wis 4 1 for extra resis/mana and ritual if i am the only healer in a melee group for example <div></div>
