If that's the case, wow.. Talk about diminishing returns. 8 levels of that seems a waste.

Rank 1 = 20% per point spent

Rank 2 = 11.25% per point spent

Rank 3 = 8.33% per point spent

Rank 4 = 6.87% per point spent

Rank 5 = 6% per point spent

Rank 6 = 5.42% per point spent

Rank 7 = 5% per point spent

Rank 8 = 4.69% per point spent

If I went down that line, I would only spend the necessary 4 points that are required for next skill.

Message Edited by SonnyA on 06-06-2006 05:48 PM

Honestly there isn't anything in that line worth going in for anyway.Since we're all pretty much married to the STR line for the sake of any of our other abilities, we aren't left with a lot of wiggle room.I personally like the INT line . . . Virulence is a nice debuff to add to the Mystic arsenal and Immunities is a great way to be well received in any group in your raid. I'm taking Immunties to rank 8 myself and Virulence to rank 5.If I weren't on the INT line, I'd go down STA for the debuff that increases mob cast timers and take that one to rank 8. As it stands, I'm going to have to convince our Defiler to do that.

Personally.. I think Immunities is a GREAT AA.. at level 70 it's +800 to all resists at rank 8.. This benefits your entire group, and helps everyone live longer no matter what the mob's AE tends to be.

For raiding, I'm doing Aura of Warding (Rank Foresight (Rank Haste (rank 5 for more chances to proc) and Immunities (Rank . Everything else is at the minimum to get to those abilities.

Virulence for a Defiler isn't that much of an addition as we already have a 24% all stat decreaser.. as a Mystic I can see that this would be a beneficial debuff to max out as it seems it lands quite frequently.

So immunities is 800 to all resists? Hmm, I might have to rethink my strategy here. When I read the description, I read it as a resist boost to only magic damage.

800 to EACH resist is huge. 800 to Magic only, eh, not so much.

I finally got there, I can confirm it's 100 to each and every non-physical resist . . . Poison, Disease, Heat, Cold, Magic, Mental, Divine . . . and 4200 to your pet in the same areas.By Magic, they mean anything Magical, not the "Magic" sub-catagory of Arcane.Yea, 800 to every resist is sweetness. You also have Virulence down that same line, which drops all stats of a mob by a certain percentage, the exact steps of the ranks escape me atm.Best part is that neither Virulence nor Immunities have any sort of equipment requirement. The only drawback with Immunities is that for some god-forsaken reason it isn't persistent across zone lines. You have to recast it every time you zone, just like Aura of Haste. In fact, I created a macro to do just that.
