<DIV>Greetings all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was looking into starting a healer character, just to put myself through the torture the elite few of you seem to enjoy. I've had a lowbie inquisitor for a while, and the idea seemed ok, he just did not seem all that exciting, and looking down the road, I did not seem to see anything that really made me excited about pursuing him. The other day, though, I grouped with a high level mystic for the first time, and absolutely fell in love. You guys get all kinds of cool spells! I had been thinking about creating a warden or fury, since all I hear about is how uber they are, but I see them everywhere... and when I see group advertising, they're the ONLY healers I EVER see excluded.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyways, I just had a few questions. First, where do you see Mystics following the dreaded LU24? Do you know of any serious nerfs coming that will detract from the class? Also, I was hoping someone could point me to some initial resources on being an effective healer and the basic strategies used by Mystics (solo/group). I plan on twinking my Mystic out as well, so what are the most important spells to upgrade for solo and groups? <DIV>we're basicly not getting nerfed at all since we dont have many control abilities...just 1, our 5 minute recast ae detaunt which will mezz for 5 seconds instead of 12.5 or so.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>healing in group is basicly just casting ure solo and group ward, this way when the solo ward is used up u still have ure group ward there to protect so u can recast ure solo ward and when the group ward gets used up u got ure solo ward there to protect while u recast ure group ward...basicly it isnt very exciting and u can be semi afk most of the time..but thats prolly true for most healers..dont rly need debuffs for group content.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>its when things get rough though that u need to be rdy and on ure A-game, and its what will seperate a bad from a good healer.. </DIV>

LU24 is actually a buff for Mystics, a players mitigation is now calculated when they have a ward on them. What does this mean? Our wards last that much longer. CC is getting the revamp next update, as a Mystic my STA AA line shield bash is getting nerfed but it wasn't that long of a stun anyway. I used it more for interupting than the stun.

The only mitigation changes on test have to do with Fighters intercept abilities.. those will now take the casters mitigation into effect instead of 0 mitigation like it is now. It will give a reason for Tank A to intercept damage off of Tank B as it will no longer kill tank B. I see it being extremely useful in raids..
