View Full Version : Herbal Expertise AA seems currently bugged
I did some testing yesterday and I think the Herbal Expertise line in our AA tree is bugged and not working properly. For example:Cure noxious requires 71 power to cast. If my power pool is at 5702, and I cast cure noxious,my power pool drops to 5631. What it should be without the AAs.The problem is, I have 7 points in the Herbal Expertise AA, and according to this, the power cost of my single target cures are supposed to be reduced by 42%. This means my cures should only cost ~41 power, not the 71 its currently costing.Has anyone else noticed this? Or if you have points in Herb Expertise, can you try and duplicate it to see if you have the same problem? It shouldnt matter how many points you have, you should still be able see your cures cost less than the full 71 power to test this bug.-Amec, 70 Mystic, Mistmoore.<div></div>

Seems to work fine as the Cures normally cost 93 pwr (at lvl 69), so the UI updates the pwr cost and shows you the reduced cost.Mojki<div></div>
<div></div>Well if the cures cost 93 power with no reduction (i dont have a non AA spec'd char to compare to atm): 93 x .42 (my aa reduction) = 39. 93 - 39 = 54 power per cure. My UI says my cures cost 71 power. If my math is right, shouldn't my cures be costing 54 power? I do agree that the UI matches what the cures cost, but I dont think the amount is correct considering the % of reduction.Or am I missing something?<div></div><p>Message Edited by Latero on <span class=date_text>05-15-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:17 AM</span>

Almost every time they say reduction in AAs it isnt a direct reduction like that, its some kind of diminishing returns formula. Its like how 100% spell haste doesnt make your spells instant. Yeah its dumb and the descriptions hould be better. <div></div>

"lets SAY you get a 42% reduction in power cost, which is pretty substantial, but not really give it to you....." </div>

It's broken and has been for months, stops scaling at 71 power, even up to and including the 8th rank. I've bugged it, but it doesn't look like too much of a prioirity.<div></div>
Well for good measure I /bug'd it also. I'm not getting my hopes up, thats for sure.<div></div>

Perhaps 71 power is meant to be the lowest cost possible. So when you have gotten the cost down to 71, putting more APs into Herbal Expertise for the purpose of lower cost will only be needed after having leveled further up (lvl 70+). Assuming the power costs increases as we level, they might have designed this ability to scale with us for future level cap raises.Just thinking out load here, and so far without any opinion if this would be a bad or a good thing.
