I have found a nasty bug with it though. Group wards always show the damage as being against you. Log shows... (1146737363)[Thu May 04 20:09:23 2006] Pawz's Spiritual Circle absorbs 99 points of damage from being done to Banin. (1146737363)[Thu May 04 20:09:23 2006] YOUR Carrion Bulwark absorbs 469 points of damage from being done to YOURSELF (1146737363)[Thu May 04 20:09:23 2006] a Thulian fear-devourer hits Banin but fail to inflict any damage. and (1146737365)[Thu May 04 20:09:25 2006] YOUR Carrion Bulwark absorbs 643 points of damage from being done to YOURSELF (1146737365)[Thu May 04 20:09:25 2006] Pawz's Aura of Warding absorbs 449 points of damage from being done to Banin. (1146737365)[Thu May 04 20:09:25 2006] a Thulian fear-devourer hits Banin for 443 points of crushing damage. Thanks, if we could get this fixed I would be over the moon.<div></div>

A group ward is just like any other group spell and it protects everyone in group, including yourself. So as far as I can tell you got hit for some damage....which would naturally say Your Wardy Spell absorbs 434 from YOURSELF since it was you that got hit, how else would you have them write it? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If it's in fact a bug, you need to present it better via better documentation. Somehow show it was the tank getting hit not you</DIV>

It may well be a bug, but it's basically leftover from before Wards logged.Formerly, when a Group Ward was up, regardless of who took damage, it reported back that "Your ward absorbed xxx points of damage". The only reason it did this is because it was on everyone, including the caster. If that were not the case, you would have gotten no feedback at all.So, now that Wards are logging, the report to the text engine is still the same . . . the Ward is on everyone, including the caster, and is reported as such. It doesn't differentiate.This might be a tricky one to fix.<div></div>

A dev replied to my post in the Defiler forum on the same subject, admitting it was a bug and he would try to fix it. Luckily I have been able to change my parser to work around it. <div></div>
