<DIV>I play both a Mystic and a Templar and am curious to know how Wards interact with Reactives.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If someone is below full health and has a ward on them, will a reactive still heal them when they are attacked? Does it matter the order that the ward and reactive are cast?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the information!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kulrick</DIV> <DIV>30 Mystic</DIV> <DIV>Lucan D'Lere</DIV>

<P>Thank you very much for the clear, informative information! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I suppose that means that damage shields work just fine with wards too, right (you're still struck, just for 0 damage)?</P> <P>Very good to know!</P> <P>Thanks!</P> <P>-Kulrick</P>

One comment: We Defilers have noted that one our "Reactive" proc debuffs on the mob does not proc thru our Wards. We are not sure if this is intended or not.<div></div>

<div></div><div></div> That they do. As stated so succintly above, all of the hits a ward block still succesfully land; they just land for zero damage. This means all effects that are dependant upon a warded player being hit operate as normal (well everyone I can think of off the top of my head).EDIT: Glad I covered my rear with the last statement haha... that sucks if its true, and unlike any behavior I have seen with wards in the game.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Thatdumbguy on <span class=date_text>04-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:35 PM</span>

<DIV>Yes.. the Defiler "reactive" ward that goes on the mob will not work if there is a ward in place on the mobs target.. it has something to do with how the proc is calculated, and it only work if the person being hit actually takes damage and loses health.. as opposed to the target being struck..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Easy test.. find a green mob.. put up bane on the mob, and ward your self.. if you have a ward up bane will never proc... if you lose the ward bane will proc quite frequently..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for Cleric reactives, the above statements are true, and reactives will function properly if there is a ward in place on the tank.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Guess I know the answer based on how much feedback shamans normally get, but I'll ask.... Have the devs ever said if that was intended for Bane? It certainly sounds like a bug. <div></div>

<P>Unfortunatley (but not really a shock) we have not received any final word on our Bane line.. I agree, it definatly sounds buggy to me.</P>

<P>Interesting.. I will have to test it tonight. but I seem to recall that tendrils would in fact proc when there is a ward in place..</P>

A decked out guardian could still recieve a 10k hit at anytime, so slacking in the least bit could mean a wipe <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> But yea, for your normal 6 person group either wards or reactives are good, but not really both. A healer should be able to solo heal most all zones, including HoF. This is providing that the rest of your group knows what they are doing, and are properly equipped. I have no clue what is with some 70s, and still wearing treasured armor...........Prolly the same folk that think adept 1's are Ok!</P> <P><BR> </P> <BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE><BR>

Theres nothing wrong with doing single group content with treasured gear and adept 1s and apprentice 4s. I may have a suit of Fableds and adept 3s, but thats because I like to raid on occasion. If all you are doing is grouping, you are fine with baseline equipment. The extra challenge can even be fun. <div></div>

Also, Eepop covered his bases, read carefully. He said "unless the tank was seriously taking damage". I think raid mobs qualify.<div></div>

<div></div>With the new ability to parse Wards... it appears to me that Reactives do NOT proc through Wards when the Ward prevents all of the damage from that attack, but WILL proc on damage leaked thru the Ward.Someone else on the Defiler boards have posted evidence incidating they do, however. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Sokolov on <span class=date_text>05-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>05:07 AM</span>
