View Full Version : Lack of Upgrades
<DIV>Hi there fellow Mystics,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Though I am not new to Eq2 I am new to playing a Mystic.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On the RE server I am finding it difficult to find upgrades to my abilities, though I am only lvl 9 I am still using App I for Runic Mark and Minor Auspice. Through reading a few posts i've now discovered were I can get App II from the trainer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Browsing the market board showed a distinct lack of upgrades for Mystic spells. There was the odd Adept I for some of my other abilities, at a stupidly high price I must admit (which is a change to the norm).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I guess my question is two fold a) is this a common occurance and are mystic ability upgrades in short supply and b) which tradeskills class makes our abilities (ive asked Sages etc but there does seem to be some confusion).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Many thanks in advance to any replies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Elleyia.</DIV> <DIV>Runnyeye</DIV>

<P>I've had a problem finding heals/wards like Replenishment and Ghostly Ward on Befallen, but other than that it hasn't been too bad. I've noticed that a lot of spells on the vendor are still under their old names for sub-level 20 spells, so be careful of that.</P> <P> </P>

Remember, you are starting "late" and into a "mature" world. Most of what is available will be of the last 14 levels. The closer you are to level 1, the harder it is to find spells. "Back in the day" when the game first went live, it was not hard at all to locate those spells.<div></div>

<div></div>What Banditman says is true. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel, as tradeskills are moved to the no subcombines system, it is more likely you will be able to find a sage to make the spells for you. Right now making anything is tradeskills is a pretty time-intensive process. As it is now, it only really benefits a sage to make the highest level of spells they can, as it takes just as much time(for the most part) to make the spell if its level 1 or level 70. But anyway, specificly to help you, here is my suggestions: Try out tradeskilling to make your level 1-11 abilities. It gets much easier at level 10, which is why I suggest going to 11 at least so you can really get a feel for the TS system. If you like it, problem solved. If not, you can try out some of these options: 1) Get a guild. There may be a sage within thier ranks, or even just folks playing alts and finding adepts at your level. A good place to look is on your <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board?board.id=204" target="_blank">server's message board</a>. 2) Find a newly leveling sage, there are some out ther usually. Ask around in your city's _crafting channel. If someone is leveling up a sage, they usually just sell the spells to a vendor because the lower population at those levels means things take a long time to sell on the broker. But they will usually be more than willing to sell them to a player. Also out of curiousity..which time zone do you play in? Runnyeye is a European server, which can greatly impact whats available on the broker if you are playing during american prime time. Oh, and just to put this all in context: I am a 65 Mystic/65 Sage. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Eepop on <span class=date_text>04-13-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:02 PM</span>
