LvL 50 armor

Closing up on  lvl 50, I'm in some trouble deciding what to get to wear, should I go with a full set of cobalt chain or should I mix and match( In that case I need some suggestions on what pieces to go for)? Also, is it ok to [Removed for Content] mit by wearing leather and even cloth peices (I solo alot)? I'm a 1h spear/buckler user (and will be until servers go down), is it worth getting an imbued cobalt spar and an imbued ironwood buckler or are there other choices? <div></div>

i for myself am a solo-spear-buckler mystic myself and i never regretted wearing a full cobalt set (until i find better replacements, cobalt isnt really expensive any more) with an imbued cobalt spear and the aegis from the scornfeather-instance (very easy to get, should be quite cheap on the broker as well).i always try to get a separate set for grouping with high wis and power stats as well, but for soloing cobalt is working very fine.<div></div>

I have always been poor, and will no doubt continue to be so.  I am currently wearing crafted ebon chain (not the legendary stuff :smileysad: ) and it has served me well for all of my 40's levels.  The complete set did not amount to even 1 plat in cost.... perfect as I need money for important spell upgrades.</P> <P>For the 50's, the armor would be the Indium Chain as replacement... again less than 1 plat for the complete set. The problem here, is that I would be sacrificing some wisdom and health for very little gain in mitigation. Cobalt Chain (not the legendary stuff)  would be the comparable set to my Ebon Chain but each piece is at least 2.5 plat and higher!  I do not consider that cheap by any means....  It will take me longer than 10 levels to gather that much at my current rate  :smileyvery-happy:</P> <P>I have found in broker checks, that there are several "drops" that I can acquire as I level up that are as good and certainly much less expensive. They are not all wearable at 50, but do become wearable as I level up... and their cost is about 2 plat for the complete set.</P> <P>A difficult choice...</P> <P>I am not a tank, but the cobalt's extra mitigation would help in solo.... yet I need the wisdom and power for my job as healer more often than not. Weapons? i am not rich either, i think the most money i ever had was 10plat and i save everything for spellupgrades.but you can harvest cobalt easily in the croc caves in Sinking Sands and it definitely helps knowing a good armorsmith -> it definitely wont be that difficult and the crocs are nice exp as well <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

Personally, I'd only go for a few pieces of cobalt..... the arms and another piece of good wisdom.  My chest and legs pieces are bought off the broker, appear to be SS drops (level 47 required).<div></div>
