<div>Ok, you would assume STR would produce more dmg output with a weapon, perhaps even AGI would help.......</div><div>Not sure if anyone else has tested this, but buffing over 300 STR and 79 AGI do not change my melee output at all,</div><div>I just see my attack rating go up by, oh......50 or so. haha.  </div><div> </div><div>So Seriously, what is the point of a buff that gives me an extra 156 STR?</div><div> </div><div>I can carry all 32 slot boxes.............thats it.......Thanks SOE <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>How bout they just gives us a buff for WIS, I'd take 30 WIS over 156 STR.  STA, AGI, or INT, all are useful, but STR?</div><div> </div><div>Does anyone else think this is pointless? Except for the whole carrying chests part?</div><div> </div><div>And yes, I know it has a HP buff and grants See Stealth.</div><div> </div>

Well in PVP it's usefull because I can't be snared by str debuffs. PVE, no idea. The developers wanted to add a stat to the buff but wisdom would have been overpowered next to our single target hp/power buff so they gave us STR is my guess.

<div></div><p>Overpowered?  Look at Wardens, when I group with just a warden I break 6k power.  they get a power buff and a wisdom buff, Priest best friend is a warden for raw power but</p><p>sure they could give us a Wisdom buff, I think it would be great but eh...they didnt.  They could have given us a root AA that lasted longer than 7 seconds when it activates but they didnt <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p> </p>

I did test this and parse it and all that jazz, it is somewhere a couple pages back on this board.  If you are interested, you can dig for it, but the conclusion is the same as you came to: The massive ammount we can boost our strength does about nothing (it is some, but just about nothing).Hopefully, some of the changes in LU 21 will make it more effective. But I must agree, that strength is a pretty good slap in the face compared to +wis or +80 hp regen.<div></div>

<div>All I use it for is the boxes instead of bags like you said. I love grouping with the guild's Warden...when its a Mystic,Warden,Temp in our group the power we have is great.... and I cast Foretelling on the MT...and I cast it on myself the mana pool is awesome!!!  Not having played EQ1 was it the same buff to STR? Maybe they just took the idea from EQ1? No idea really..but for a person whos Inventory is always full..I dont mind all the extra slots.</div>

Shaman in EQ Live didn't have anything like our Bear form.  All their buffs could be cast upon anyone.  Further, all buffs had duration and were not dependant upon being grouped.<div></div>

I destinctly remember a self only bear form buff from my days as an EQ1 Shaman though.Buffed WIS and had a hp regen (which equals mana for the EQ1 shaman).</p><p>All (?) other buffs where not limited to self or group.</p><p>/Merry</p><p> </p>

Warden's wolf form gives them a crapload of mitigation. With normal buffs and gear on our guild warden has more mitigation AND avoidance than I do. HP's are nice, but STR does nothing for us but let us carry boxes =. I've been disappointed with our bear form ever since they took the melee proc out. It serves little purpose now.<div></div>

>>>but STR does nothing for us but let us carry boxes<<<I carry a bunch of boxes and I discovered recently a drawback -- when I mentor below 20, I get really slow as my buffs are downgraded past my ability to carry the boxes.  Also it is pretty bad when you die and your buffs drop.  I can barely move at all until I rebuff.  Not so bad at a revive point, but less helpful if you are rezzed in battle.<div></div>

So stop dying in battle.  <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

Yeah, there was Form of the Bear, Form of the Great Bear, and then I believe even some sort of Rabid Bear AA (although I never had that one) in eq1, all of which were self-only buffs that gave bear form and some stats (WIS and hp regen).  The type of bear you turned into varied by your player class, too..  As a barbarian, I was a cute polar bear. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>
