Hello everyone! I am just starting a healer and am deciding between a Mystic a Templar. I think I will be plenty happy with either class, but I don't really know what each does or how either plays. I am looking for someone to tell me what the differences between them and how they play. First time healer here, so maybe the easier of the two would be best. Thank you!

Mystics rely on warding people so that they don't take damage (damage is absorbed by the ward) rather than healing the damage after it has been taken.

I don't have great knowledge of Clerics or Druids, so I might be off on some information.Priest healing balance was achieved last year and for the most part we are all heal equally in most ways. The difference's come out in buffs, specialty heals, and direct heals.Specialty healsClerics - ReactivesDruids - HoTs (Heal over Time)Shaman - WardsFor buffing I would read up on the individual classes, or if some wants to explain it quickly :smileyhappy:As for wards, as Zotar explained, Wards essentially absorb any damage that can't be absorbed by AC or referred to as mitigation now. And any damage that can't be avoided. Any remaining HP on the ward is converted to a heal at the end of the timer.ArmorClerics - Plate primarily - which has the best mitigation valuesDruids - Leather I believe - which has better avoidance statsShamans - Chain primarily - Combo of avoidance and mitigationI would say play both classes and see which suits your style the best. Just a little information for now of the top of my head. One other thing..you won't notice a real difference in play until you hit 20. You can easily level a character to 20 within a day now so that's not a big deal.
