GEBS give 102 power, 12 of that from wisdom. The Clandestine Rites gives 115 power. GEBs have FT5, which is 50 power/minute. Clandestine Rites do not.'Nuff said, they are worthless for the most part. I might wear them soloing. Thanks for the heads up.<div></div>

I've noticed that a lot T7 gear seems to be missing WIS. Very strange.<div></div>

The stats on those are surprising, and a little disappointing. Let's hope the BP and legs are better. I wouldn't give up GEBs for those either. I'm curious though, what kind of return we get, if any from having a wis over 500, with regards to power and resists. The cap is supposed to be soft, not hard, but I'm hearing that you get no value at all from having a wis over 500 (490 is the actual cap at 70 I believe). Any thoughts?<div></div>

The cap does not count your base scores. So its 490 plus 20 (might differ race to race, can test later). Note that it DOES count bonuses from class selection (which make the stat green, or positively modified). For power, it was a hard cap when I tested it about two months ago, I know that much.<div></div>

<div></div><p>From what I read there is other specific armor that gives Wis, Int and Stamina. Much like the Jewelry of T6 did.</p><p>Any one have any info on that specific armor, we could suplement pieces I guess for more wisdom if needed.</p>

I'm only at cap on raids for the moment, and i still wouldn't use those boots over GEBs.</span></div>

<div>I have seen a few other pieces and they both had 25 wis on them. I saw the hat and wrist. The hat had FT 8 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but the wristguards had no effect but had like 25 wisdom 16 sta and crazy resist, i think 800ish to 3 or 4 different resist.</div><div> </div><div>I seriously think these boots were missed tagged. Mystics have no huge nukes. Even at max int i can only nuke for 850 and thats my AoE. So i dont think we are suppose to go for int because most of us are only capped on wis in raids. The max i can get out of raids is 470ish which is close but not capped.</div><div> </div><div>So if these boots are not mis labled then they need an effect. I hope to get some legs or bp soon but there are many scouts in front of me <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>Also in regards to the wisdom cap. Currently there is a soft cap of 7 times your level. so if your lvl 70 then your soft cap is 490. Now there is hard cap that is calculated like this: (Your Soft Cap + Your base class stats)</div><div> </div><div>So in my case i am a gnome so my hard cap is 490+20 which is 510.</div><div> </div><div>So my hard caps are like this</div><div> </div><div>STR 502</div><div>AGI 515</div><div>STA 506</div><div>INT 517</div><div>WIS 510</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>

Sure I dont mind a few other stats rather than wis all the time but they are just silly.</span><div></div>

<div>I think those are awesome. They may lack ft5, but they have a buttload of mitigation, and I KNOW you mystics get aggro :smileytongue:. FT is all over the place in KoS anyway. The resists are those are wild also... those are crazy good</div><div> </div><div>All this from a guy who is also still wearing his geb's ... but hey, I'm still looking to upgrade em heh</div>
<div></div>Lots of power (nice when you are wis-capped), lots of resists, nice stamina (and straight health), lots of mitigation. Those boots aren't too bad for a raiding mystic. FT gear is easy to pick up in KoS, so losing the FT5 from the GEBs isnt a real huge deal.Only problem I can see with 'em is that they probably look like saggy chainmail socks, as opposed to real 'boots'. =)<div></div><p>Message Edited by Latero on <span class="date_text">03-19-2006</span><span class="time_text">06:28 PM</span></p>

When you are comparing, consider what you get.For Mystics, Wisdom gives power. This is generally a good thing. In the end however, it doesn't matter how you get that power, the game is about having it when you need to cast that heal. While we often focus on Wisdom, what we are really doing is maximizing our power. As such, you have to compare an item based not on Wisdom, but on the effects of Wisdom, aka Power. There are three important comparisons to make: Raw Power, 60 Second Power, 2 Minute Power.Raw Power is easy. Take the Wisdom on any given item, multiply by 5 and then add any +Power that exists. This gives you the Raw Power number.60 Second Power is a little harder. For most items, 60 Second Power is the same as Raw Power. However, for an item with some form of Flowing Thought on it, the 60 Second Power number will be greater than Raw. Take the FT rating, ie FT4 = 4, and multiply by 10. Add this to the Raw Power. That's the 60 Second Power of the item.2 Minute is similar, except you multiply the FT rating by 20 and add.So, let's take Golden Efreeti Boots, the de facto standard for a raiding Mystic and look at the numbers:Raw Power = (12 Wis x 5) + 50 Raw = 110 Power total60 Second = 110 Raw + (5 x 10) = 160 Power at 60 seconds2 Minute = 110 Raw + (5 x 20) = 210 Power at 2 Minutes. Now, compare those to the Relic Boots. I'll assume that the 27 INT is a bug, and should actually be Wisdom. This becomes even more of a no brainer if the INT stays INT for some bizarre reason.Raw Power = (27 Wis x 5) + 110 = 245 Power total.60 Second = 245 Raw + 0 FT = 245 Power at 60 Seconds2 Minute = 245 Raw + 0 FT = 245 Power at 2 MinutesSo, when you compare, you can see that for short fights, the Relic boots would be better. As the fight closes in on two minutes in length, the GEB's start to catch up. If you have fights that are taking more than about 2:30 then the GEBs are still better. In raids, long fights like that can happen often, so, perhaps from a raiding Mystic's standpoint, GEB's are still a better choice.Raiding Mystics also learn the fights. So, as they know which fights are going to be shorter, they can use the Relic boots, only strapping on the GEB's when there is expected to be a very extended fight.

<div></div><div></div><p>Something I haven't seen anyone mention is the regen cap.. since you're all talking about raiding here and how easy it is to get ft stuff in t7, how come no one's taking the cap into consideration? I know just yesterday on a raid, I was at the regen cap with bard/chanter, my single blc buff, and my nautral regen; I actually ended up taking off all my gear and using my int gear for the trash mobs so I could dps since they were trash mobs and I didn't really need to heal (and even if I did, it's not like I was lacking the power to do so heh).</p><p>For the numbers:</p><p>bard + chanter = 82</p><p>natural regen = 7</p><p>regen traits = 10</p><p>blc buff = 9</p><p>total = 108</p><p>regen cap @ 70 = 105</p><p>So all you all really need to do is equip either of the prismatic weapons instead of the grizzfazzle staff I was using for the dmg proc and you've more than made up for my blc buff.</p><p>Now I know that you may not always have a bard AND chanter in your grp, but even with just one or the other, there's still no issue with hitting the regen cap wihtout the 5 from ft in my experience.. but I'm an ft freak (had something like 6-8 ft buffs on me at once + mark and prismatic at one point I think) so mebbe other ppl's mileage varies hehe</p><p>Message Edited by Dragonrealms on <span class="date_text">03-21-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:11 AM</span></p>
<div><span><blockquote><hr>Dragonrealms wrote:<div></div><div></div><p>regen cap @ 70 = 105</p><hr></blockquote>As I understand it, although the total regen cap is 1.5 x level, only half of that cap can come from either spells or equipment. That is, at level 70, you can have a maximum of 52 (53?) regen from spells, and a maximum of 52 (53?) from items.Could be wrong.</span></div>
