Who came up with this idea? Pls pls pls reconsider this.I dont want to be a pet user..if i wanted that i wouldve made a conjuror. Why are we punished with this god [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] stupid thing? I dont want to have to cast the lame pet every single minute couse the stupid thing dies in 1 hit even if i was to fight lv 20 mobs.Pls, change this, allow the AA to be cast on the caster , remove the pet require. As it is, i am not able to use most of them couse i cant bother casting the stupid pet, it dies in the next 10 secs anyway.

I feel your pain. If I wanted to be a pet wielding class, I'd have rolled a conj/necro. I was seriously disappointed in how reliant some of our AAs are on  that [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] pet.Don't get me wrong, some of the AAs are nice, but  the pet should  just be optional (for some extra solo dps). He's useless for anything else.<div></div>

The pet in its basic, unbuffed form does leave something to be desired. I'd really like to see it converted to just a one down arrow NPC, or whatever it takes to bump its HP up more. It is unaffected by any group buffs of any kind it seems. At level 70 it has exactly 900 hit points, and without Spiritual Foresight, zero resists. Forget about mitigation or avoidance. This is a problem.A pet is a big responsibility in real life, and so is it in game. As if I didn't already have enough to cast, now I have to keep this weak excuse for a pet alive and buffed with AA's. One has to waste half of your AA points to buy an ability just to keep it alive longer than 5 minutes. That's not fun. The only really decent achievement skill worth getting that doesn't revolve around the pet is Ritual. I hope the AA's get looked at and re-evaluated soon...respecs get mighty expensive down the road.<div></div>

I have to agree I am coming to the same conclusion.  The pet is constantly being smoked by AE damage.  I don't solo much, I don't care about the extra damage myself, but just keeping him up/alive (attacks off) in a group has turned into more trouble then it's worth.<div></div>

He should at least have the 1.5 to 2k that dumbfire pets do.<div></div>

My lvl 49 pet has so few hps that every one of my heals always puts him right back up to full from red. Wards dont work on him, neither do any other buffs. He dies every single battle...Useless doesnt cut it.<div></div>

<div>Yeah I can't keep this pet alive to save my life... and I'm talking about just in an xp group.  Now take him on a raid?  Yeah right.  I waste a concentration slot to cast Foretelling on the little guy and he STILL poofs.  I try to keep my group ward up as much as possible, but I gotta tell ya SOE, as a healer I do not have time to keep recasting this thing every minute.   I've got a group to keep alive.</div><div> </div><div>He also seems to cause a stuck-in-combat bug even when the group and the dog are not in combat.  As soon as I kill the pet, the stuck-in-combat goes away.  So if the mob AoE's don't kill him, I have to.  How is that at all useful?</div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>I agree with everything said here.  Predicating our AA's on a paper thin pet was and is a silly notion.  Either make him immune to all aoe's and give a HP boost or make him something else entirely like buff or something and relegate the pet to an AA choice.</p><p>I only realize hes not there when the pet box disappears, I never actually SEE him dies its so dam quick.</p>

I tested Dogdog at level 62, and he had (in numerous incarnations) between 460 and 470 hit points. Not that I want to become a summoner, or anything, but that is quite ridiculous.<div></div>

It feels like some sick irony for me, since I rolled a conjuror a while back <span>:smileysad:</span>.<div></div>
