<div></div><div></div><div>Hi fellow Mystics</div><div> </div><div>I have a lvl 63 Mystic on Runnyeye and really enjoy playing the class. I mainly group with my guild for xp and questing and raid 3 times a week where usually I am in the MT group. I don't solo only because its not worth the time and energy for little reward but I chose a mystic to be a group player so I am happy enough with my role.</div><div> </div><div>I have recently aquired 8 Adventure Points, my spirit wolf for 1 and so far I have put the rest into Wisdom and I plan to max out my wisdom to 8 before my next choice. </div><div> </div><div>I make an effort to keep all my stats balanced mainly concentrating on wisdom through armour choices and now Adv Points so that I have a self buffed pool of 5000+ power. I find that in groups/raiding its my power that my fellow players rely on the most and I can keep warding and debuffing to the bitter end of most long drawn out fights.</div><div> </div><div>So, I've read through all of the board messages and it seems alot of you are very keen to go down path of Str/Sta/Agi so as to assist your group/raid.</div><div> </div><div>In the initial screenshots of AA's I originally thought the wisdom path would increase my pet dps and use but now i see that my next choice in Wisdom is Ritual for improving my direct heal (learned healing) </div><div> </div><div>I feel bit 'old fashioned' in the healer sense of just thinking (healer) or maybe im completely missing out on what i could be capable of by making other choices.</div><div> </div><div>So after this long drawn story, I'd be interested to hear if anyone else is sticking to wisdom or why I'm perhaps making an error here and I'd love to know perhaps a better alternative.</div><div> </div><div>I have been reading all of your posts the last few weeks and every time I gain an adventure point my brain is drawn to wisdom lol... must have been ingrained since Mystic day 1... wis wis wis..</div><div> </div><div>Thanks Xer.</div><div> </div><div> </div><p>Message Edited by Xeryn_Star on <span class="date_text">03-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:32 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Xeryn_Star on <span class="date_text">03-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:52 AM</span></p>

My current line of thinking (gearing towards raids) is to max the wisdom and stamina lines. The wisdom line is actually a very nice ability IMO, it is a very versatile spell. Fighting an encounter where rips are frequent or you know the tank needs to lock aggro down? Or more then one encounter at once? Reduce your tanks casting timers. Tank spiking? Blow your instant and use it on a priest in group to combat it.Honestly, although I'm not too happy with it, the stamina line abilities will have their uses. I just can't think of a better way to spend the points atm. IMO the strength line is next to worthless, as by the time you max the STR line so it might actually have an impact in raiding, you don't really have points left over for the wisdom line (which I find to be highly important). Trying to use the dog in raids, I have found in my limited time beta testing, amounted to more harm then good. Of course, things have changed since then; and I've polished my pet class skills abit as well, so who knows. At the end of the day your first couple of respecs really aren't all that expensive; so you have abit of leeway in your decisions.<div></div>

<div><span>While the temptation to go with something interesting (like INT) is high, the benefits of the wis line outweighs anything else.I am curious about the last ability in the Wis line tho. Does it mean, for example, that if a player uses a 9 min recast ability during this time it'll be up in 6 minutes? or does it only function for spells that recast within the 36 seconds the ability is active?</span></div>

Would be great for some skills like Tower of Stone, Sigil of Heroism etc.</div><div> </div><div>Has anybody info on that?</div>

Recast is 3 minutes, making it too long to be of consistent use in raid situations... 1 minute wouldn't be much, but is a long time in a raid encounter.</span></div><p>Message Edited by Sokolov on <span class="date_text">03-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">06:58 AM</span></p>

Last time I checked, Ritual of Alacrity could not be cast on yourself. And two shaman in one group is probably not the most efficient way to go <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div>But nevertheless... that skill is very useful for a lot of situations. Think of a MT that can cast 1/3 more taunts than normal for the first 36 seconds of a fight.</div>

I went with spending points on intelligence, as you get 6 points for every AA you put into it.<div></div>
