For example, if a mob has 50k HP, and you STA debuff it down to a max of 40k, it shows up as 100%, if that STA debuff drops, it goes and stays at 100% and goes back up to 50k HP. If you DPS it down to 20k HP before the debuff drops, it shows 50%, before it would drop in HP and show as 40% when the debuff dropped instead of 50%. Though, now the mob stays at 50% and gets a free "heal" to 25k HP.

Confirmed, they nerfed it. No point sta debuffiing now. Thx for taking away our DPS =/.<div></div>

<div></div><p>I'm actually thinking it may be bugged <u>in our favor</u>. Here's what I saw, and what I think might be happening:</p><p>Group wails away on mob, get to 87%ish, I cast Scream/Chimerik to get mob to almost full health again. This is exactly how it used to work, would have cut off the top 12ish%. Group beat mob down to 75%, then I recast Chimerik <b>while it's still active on mob</b> (before it expires), and the mob's HP % goes up to 83%. This did not happen before; recasting a STA debuff before it wore off had no effect on the HP %. It simply refreshed the debuff.</p><p>My theory….the STA portion of my original Chimerik, and the one that overwrites it, are <i>stacking</i>. If true, a few Mystics in a raid could keep chain casting their STA debuffs and keep eating away the top x% of the mob's HPs. Imagine if three Mystics, in succession, all cast Scream/Chimerik at the start of a fight…..mob would effectively lose close to 30% of it's health.</p><p>I'm too lazy to do some actual calculations to illustrate, but hopefully you can see what I'm getting at.</p><p>Kanali</p>

It was supposed to be fixed in the last LU. However, there is another thread by Ixnay that he believes it is not fixed.<div></div>

<div></div>Testing this is easy enough, if folks believe there is a problem they should probably run some tests and prove the point.Here's how I'd do it:1.  Go someplace where you can pull nearly identical mobs.  I'd use the lizards on the beach of Lavastorm.  Make sure that all the mobs you pull are equal level.2.  Get a baseline HP reading by killing 5 or so of the mobs.  Record HP for each one killed.3.  Use STA debuffs to pull 5 more, making sure that the debuff never wears off while killing.4.  Use STA debuffs to pull.  Take the mob down to 50% or so.  Let the debuff wear off and finish the kill.  Do this 5 times.5.  Compare the results from the different methods.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Banditman on <span class="date_text">03-21-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:29 AM</span></p>

Started doing some tests last night. Just used Chimerik to pull and let it end, but the HP so far seems to stay down.  I didn't want to post anything till I had gone through everything.<div></div>
