I know the matronssss are wrong; compelling the ssspirits isss not the true path. But I cannot fight my way to Qeynossss to be trained as a myssstic. What am I doing wrong?----My Iksar defiler is trying to betray, and can't get out of Freeport. I get down to the serpent sewer, get teleported to the instance with the Lucanic Knights and Bonebreaker, and end up (barely) OOP and dead. They toss me out onto the streets of North Freeport. Rinse and repeat. Any advice for playing t2, particularly in these fights (yellow mobs)? My basic strategy is straightforward: ward, debuff stats, HO with DoT, slow the other group member while HO recycles, back to primary target HO with DD.Details: lvl 15 defiler. M2 group ward (which I can get off without interruption), App4 on most other spells. Imbued chest, mostly storebought iron for the other armor pieces, 1H spear and a book. 35% mitigation, 10% avoidance when buffed. Wis about 50, all other stats 28-30. Jewelry is mostly t1 odds and ends, but it seems like that' s a lot less important since LU13.It seemed wiser to ask here than on the defiler board. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><span></span><div></div>

<div></div>Drop any non-stamina debuffs from your rotation. Stack single and group wards before the fight, pull with the sta debuff you have, and use nothing but dots for DPS, keeping yourself warded and healing when necessary. This SHOULD put you in a situation where you get max efficiency as far as being able to live and do DPS w/mana. It is the tactic I use to solo heroics.EDIT: Make sure you attack the member of the encounter with the lowest HP first.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Thatdumbguy on <span class="date_text">02-22-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:21 PM</span></p>

<div></div><div>Thanks, that got me about half-way there. Just in case anybody finds this thread while searching:</div><div> </div><ul><li>Since the fight starts immediately after being teleported out of a conversation into an instance, prewarding was worthless, and cost enough power to make a difference.</li><li>HO damage is significant enough that my approach had to be:</li></ul><blockquote dir="ltr"><div>start HO</div><div>DOT one opponent</div><div>switch target</div><div>DOT second opponent (can recast about 2 seconds before HO expires)</div><div>keep wards up</div><div>repeat when DOTs expire</div></blockquote><div> </div><div>Now, getting through Nektulos afterwards is another matter, but luckily somebody helped me to the dock without asking very carefully just why they were taking me there.</div>

if you get teleported there during a conversation, cast both wards before you click on the part that ports you, wait a tick to let some of the power regen again and port to the instance -> you arrive warded and you gained more time.<div></div>
