<div>I ended up getting the hop on outta here quest when doing a tears grifters quest.</div><div> </div><div>I have always had a bit of a problem with interrupts in some of those instances, but in this one it was just crazy.</div><div> </div><div>In the last room there is a group of 4 monk frogs. I had absolutely zero chance of defeating them. I barely got a chance to heal myself, much less put out any kind of damage. It took me a bit of time to realise that I really should have concentrated on one at a time when lying down my own smack (I normaly use AoE and switch mobs a bit to use the pox dot as much as possible), but I doubt it would have made much difference in the end. As it was they ran me out of power before I could kill even one of them.</div><div> </div><div>I have less than stellar gear, but this was the first time I had any kind of problem with a tears instance.</div><div> </div><div>Is there any tactics for this, or should I just delet that quest if I ever get it again?</div>

<div></div><p>when i'm soloing and getting a lot of interrupts, i always throw on an emergency ward (or 2, depending on the situation),</p><p>then fire off a couple of real wards, then debuff the mobs thoroughly, then take them down one at a time, making sure to</p><p>recast my wards before the old ones disappear. if your health bar is going down too fast just throw on that hate decrease/</p><p>stun, and saunter on outta there...hope this helps.</p><p><img alt="Your Signature" src="http://www.eqsig.com/sig/2560.png"></p>

<div></div>Group slow can help spread those interrupts out just a little bit.

when i did the tears grifter quests i had just normal tradeskillgear, not even all cobalt etc. and they were hardly a problem.i normally cast group- and singleward before i pull with our groupdebuff, following with my groupslow asap. The wards give enough time to debuff the mobs even with loads of interruptsafterwards i cycle through them, starting the HO's with pox and alternating arctic. If my hps get yellow i start trying to channel torpor, once that is done depending on the damageoutput i cast the single ward on top of it to catch the higher hits, if dps is low (which is the case in all grifter instances) i just ignore the hps and go on cycling through the mobs until they are dead.Normally i only use torpor and your spirit pet for healing, never had a problem in there.<div></div>

<div></div><p>This was not the run of the mill interrupts one gets in most encounters to a varying degree. These I can always handle by debuffing and keeping up ward. These were constant interrupts of a never ending sort. I have only seen this particular instance once and I have likely done tears instances 30+ times.</p><p>I mean I could hardly cast anything. With ward up I got interrupted 4 times out of 5 (give or take).</p><p>Interrupts definatley depend on what type of mob one fights. Some hardly ever interrupt. Scout types seems to interrupt fairly frequently, but as long as we are talking 2-4 in a solo encounter it is usually not a problem at all by keeping up ward and debuffing mobs.</p><p>This one however was something I have only experienced when I dueled a monk friend of mine. In an entire fight against him I got of one, maybe two, spells after the initial pre ward. So the trick I'm looking for here is likely the same tip I would need to win a fight against him. Although I doubt I will ever duel him again as I have never found PvP in any form to be fun.</p>

<div>This is LU19 in all its glory.  Every casting class is having to deal with it.  Mobs simply have more debuffs and dot abilities.  And all that extra damage adds up to more interrupts in melee range.</div><div> </div>

<div></div><div>In this case I'd preward and pull with the group slow. If you have slothful spirit (55) this is the time to use it. Let the mobs damage themselves when they cast. Cast it on one mob and as soon as it refreshes switch targets and cast it on another. You shouldn't run out of power if you keep a ward on and don't have to heal and slothful spirit will do a lot of the damage for you.</div><div> </div><div>Ugh! The interrupts of yesterday are not what we have today. Sorry I posted the above. They really need to tone it down some for solo encounters. I'm noticing I'm having a great deal more trouble with even blue solo groups because of the constant interrupts. With our puny dps it can get very frustrating to do these groups.</div><p>Message Edited by Prismata on <span class="date_text">03-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:33 PM</span></p>
