I am a level 35 mystic with a big problem. With LU19 my Ancesrral Ward adept 1 has reverted to warding the original 436 points of damage. Does anyone know if this has happened to everyone or if it's a bug I should report. I hadn't actually checked it for a while but last time I looked (probably 2 or 3 levels ago)it was warding in the high 600s to 800 I think. I had been planning to take my old Spectral Ward Master 2 off the hot bar finally (it's hard for me to retire a master) but it's warding 404 for a lot less power. Any help would be appreciated since this whimpy ward is making me pretty useless right now.

Sorry some of the details wrong there. Old ward Ward of Shadows Lev 19. Ancestral Ward Adept 1 Lev 26 is now warding exactly what a new one gives even tho I hav 10 levels of experience on it (I am now Lev 36) Please help!!! Did we all get nerfed or is it just me with an upgrade bug? Also it's not just this ward it's all of my non gray spells. This makes Nek Castle a little difficult lol.

Hey Niagara...I believe my ancestral ward was protecting for 525ish but that was at master level. Adept 1 warding in the 400s sound right to me. At 36 your two main wards should be ancestral (lvl26) for single target and wards of shadow (lvl2 for group. Since spells don't scale anymore with your level like they used to, the 10 levels of adventure work wouldn't change the amount you ward for. The only way to make the spells work better is to get it to a better quality (adept3 or master). I'm wondering if maybe you had ghostly ward (lvl19) taken as your level 24 master2. This could explain why you are seeing the better power efficiency on ghostly even though the total ward is a bit less than ancestral. You could just stick it out until level 40 where you get the next single target one or maybe look for an upgrade to ancestral. I found the master for ancestral on the freeport market for less than 20g. Guess it depends on your cash available and how much you think it might help.

I'm not sure about the others of course but I didn't note any change in how effective my wards are (meaning a lower number of points of warding) with the recent update. If you are sure that there was an actual change in how much your wards are protecting then you should bug it. I would have to believe that the boards would be filled with outrage if there had been a general decrease in our warding ability as a class. Good Luck.

I don't know if I understood anything that you wrote, but here is some informaiton that might help:

1. When you choose a master 2 ability, the upgrade (higher level spell) to that M2 spell will be very marginal until it is at least of adept 3 quality.

2. Wards and other abilities no longer grow as you level. This was changed in LU13. Thus, the only way to make a spell more powerful is to upgrade the quality of it.

Thanks much I didn't realize they didn't grow anymore maybe I grew it before LU13? I did put bug report in though but having the 600+ on it may have been the bug (sigh). Thanks again
