Hey all,Just have a few questions on my mind I would love to have answered. If you can help, please feel free to chime in <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />First: When it comes to Mystics and Wardens, and Shamans and Druids, in general, which race would fill the archetype the best? Please, I understand that most races can fill these roles appropriately. But, say, at the start, which makes a better character? Also, don't restrict this decision to Good-aligned races. I'd like to hear input from evil-only races, too.Second, and no more important than the first: Between Mystics and Defilers, which have more offensive spells? Who is more focused on healing? Which class is easier at end-level, with raids? And lastly, of the two classes, which has greater solo, group, or raid value?Thanks!<div></div>

Best race. Some people may say that a high elf is best because it starts with high wisdom at low lvls. However at higher levels this does not help much. What I would recommend is a race such as gnomes or rats. These have a fantastic extra Deaggro spell as part of their personal character race traits. The utility that you get from that far outweighs the advantage in wisdom that you get as a high elf.Mystics and Defilers.Healing and DPS really is up to the person on the keyboard. For the most part, Mystics edge out Defilers on healing, while since many defiler spells also inflict damage they edge out Mystics in dps.Raids.There is no easier/harder with raids. It's really up to you to decide how you play it. Lazy or with Gutso.Solo/Group/RaidSolo, forget both. Group, both are fine. Raid, depends on what you guild needs. One of each would do great.Hope that helps.<div></div>

<div></div>For raids both are excellent, both classes are relatively rare at lvl60; however there are even fewer Defilers than Mystics + i think Defilers buff MTs for more HP so IF this is your target, consider Defiler (I just don't like Freeport...)

<div></div><p>As a 59 mystic, I don't have much trouble soloing even con stuff when I find it and low green heroics. You won't be fast or be able to solo high heroics like some other classes can, so if you want fast/heroic soloing pick a different class.</p><p>Race I don't think really matters much at all past the first 10 levels or so of the game. I rolled I high elf myself because I always wanted a high elf in old eq but hated playing casters and paladins so hehe. I've rolled other races to mess around with on test and honestly didn't notice any difference in survivablity, play or efficiency due to race.</p><p>Some of the racial traits (as stated before) are worth having. I can say definatly the effect ones for Highelf are not <G>.</p><p>I've only played a defiler to lvl 7 or so on test so I can't tell you much about them (except I don't much like Freeport).</p><p>Good luck to you though and hope you enjoy whichever you choose. =)</p><p> </p>

Frogloks also get a de-agro racial ability. It's called Astounding Leap and it launched you in the area 10 feet away in a random direction. It also stuns mobs for like a second and decreases threat by 185.Like above poster states, go with what you want because once you get higher level the 5-10 wisdom wont make a difference.<div></div>

My 47 mystic can solo 51 (yellow) single-up-arrow or 52 (orange) no-arrow mobs although it will be a close fight -- this is with mostly non-rare crafted gear and Adept 1 spells (I am using armor I bought at the Court of Truth). Encounters with multiple mobs are a little more difficult as mystic have mostly single-target spells.I agree that soloing is not quick as it usually takes up to a minute to kill the typical yellow mob.<div></div>

Barbarian Shaman 4tw, +5 def +2 % to crushing =P. Not to mention + 5 str i think too! (grats me 4 28 slot boxes in inventory) thou most shamans can buff their str up to hold that much too =). Unless their terrible weaklings with no str gear and app 1 spells...even then...<div></div>

That means that if you have agro and you want to use this ability, there's a chance you outright fail due to interruption or fizzles. Or: Tank loses agro on a monster which now starts to pummel on you. You decide to use this ability, but unfortunately you're dead before it executes because it has a decent cast timer. Unlike blink, distraction/<insert any other deagro ability priests get here> which casts right away.</span><div></div>
