<div>Ok so a friend of mine plays this game he is a lvl 60 necromancer ,so me and another friend have come to the game now we want a good duo that will also be effective at end game as a trio when we join friend 1s necro, friend 2 is set on being a mystic so its up to me to fill the last gap, but i need some help deciding a class,i was thinking shadowknight or paladin for tank/small dps combo or maybe berserker but im open to any classes that will fit ,thanks for any info....Narok/Craig</div>

<div>zerker, hands down.  Good hps/mit as well as having the ability to handle aggro with groups of mobs with ease.  At least the zerker I play with can and the ability to do that isn't all about having T6 fabled gear either.</div>

I would say either a Berzerker or a Monk.Berzerker leans towards making a more powerful trio someday.Monk leans towards making a better duo to level up quickly.<div></div>

<div></div>I have grouped with a guardian forever...not knowing anything about tank classes...seems like a 60 zerker and a 60 guardian..basically same gear...with the mitigation takin into account with the wards now(?)...seems like my wards stay up longer on the guardian then on the zerker. I have noticed that the Zerkers in our guild seem to hold group aggro a little better then the guardian. So if your going for a hardcore tank I would say guardian...also our zerkers seem to do more dmg so if its a trio your looking for maybe zerker is a good choice like the board has said.

A guardian would stictly said...tank better than the zerker.  But in a trio situation, all dps you can get is important. The difference in what you could take in the trio with the additional durabiity of the guardian would not really justify the slower kills for 60 (soon 70) levels. When the trio is capped out, having a guardian would mean you could take mobs maybe a level or two higher at best. When the trio is capped out, having a zerker will make taking out the targets the trio can take, faster.<div></div>

<div></div><p>My wife is a mystic and I am a monk and we duoed almost the entire way to 60 ourselves and were capable of doing duo what most full groups can do xp wise.  Granted, the full group probably can kill faster but we normally could do the same things. </p><p>As for a trio, a friend of ours who is a dirge grouped with us a couple of times and it ROCKED!  (mystic, monk, dirge)</p><p>Just my .02 worth.</p>

<div></div><p>My thoughts are a little different...I am thinking about endgame here where raiding is much more dominant as part of the game.  There are tanks sitting out raid groups (if guilded) becasue the raid leaders want more DPS in each raid group not usually two tanks.  I would go for an assassin or ranger, perhaps even dirge or troubador...don't know much about the swashbuckler or brigand.  Just a different view point.  But if you are going the tank route I have been very impressed with the Berserkers I have grouped with.</p><p>Purcupile</p>

<div></div>Bit late to the party, but IMO, berserker hands down.

<div>My wife plays a Swashbuckler, I am a Mystic.  We do pretty good.  She does a lot of DPS, I slow, and ward.  She can also smuggle us in areas we normally could not access.  Then fight in key locations to get tasks done.  She also has escapes if needed.</div><div> </div><div>If you want a good duo I think the utilities of both these classes allow you to do many things you normally could not.</div>

<div>My brother, sister, and I have been trioing recently with a combo that appears to work pretty nicely. Now, granted we are only in our mid-upper 20's, it's not a great judge of how well it'd work later. My brother plays a Conjuror, my sister plays an Illusionist, and I play a Mystic. Conjuror pet makes a pretty good tank with wards and Conjuror heals. Illusionist, her pet, and I make some pretty nice debuffing. Breeze-line of spells is always a plus, as is having someone who can mezmerize (very nice), and Conjuror and Illusionist can put out some okay-ish DPS (from my perspective). I was 25 (leveled to 26 while there) in Ruins of Varsoon in a particular instance I remember, my sister was 27, and my brother was 28, and we were easily taking the normal Clay Guardians, having around half power each at the end of a fight, and getting pretty good xp. We even managed to take the Varsoon Tormentor and his buddies (died first time), but we got our revenge in the next few minutes.</div><div> </div><div>Any two of us can duo pretty well, though, me and my sister the least of which. Illusionist pet isn't that a great tank, hehe. None-the-less, we fight pretty well for a group of casters, in my opinion.</div>

I'd go SK and stick with the noxious based team. The combination of your resist debuffs will mean more damage and taunting power for the SK (and everyone involved). Throw in a warlock or switch the mystic for a defiler and you'd be even more powerful.<div></div>
