A big reason I prefer mages is because the chest piece robe overrides all other armor. However, I really like the Mystic class but have seen screenshots of higher level "rainbow" armor for non robe-wearing classes. Other than the AQ,at higher levels, are there good (stat wise) sets of armor instead of mismatching whatever has the best stats ATM?

Well, for your 30ies into your 40ies, there is an armor quest from Hammer in Zek that gives you Emerald Hide armor, kind of purple/blue/green colors, but it is leather. But still for that level it is fairly nice armor for being armor from a quest.

then for 40ies higher gear there is the (tier 4) Ebon armor, it's blackish looking chain/plate, the leather armor for this tier is a nice looking blue and brown, I always loved the design on that even if it is leather.

for 50ies there is (tier 5) Cobalt armor, the chain/plate armor is a darkish blue.. looks very nice. I do not know what the leather armor looks like for this teir.

Thanks. I didn't expect a reply. :smileyhappy:

This is helpful. I am nearly finished with the AQ in South Qeynos and mid-thirties I will begin the Zek one. Thanks again for the help!

Message Edited by Cercsij on 01-27-200609:28 AM

Ebon and cobalt may look decent, but they are in no way good on mystic stats. Honestly, at this point in the game, shamans have some of the worst itemization in the game. Less than 5% of chain armor has any wisdom on it. There are certainly sets of rare tradeskilled armor (like ebon and cobalt) that we can wear and match, but dont expect to have good stats. Through proper scrounging, you can probably get a set of equipment with decent stats, but it will be mismatched. Your best bet in this case would be to find a robe to cover it all up.Levels 1-40 arent that bad, but you really start to notice about then that your choices have been steadily declining since you got your AQ armor. To put it in perspective...I am a 55 mystic, and when grouping I am usually wearing a level 30 chestpiece and level 35ish pants, because I can't find anything that has anywhere near the same amount of wisdom.

DoF has really sucked in terms of decent Armor. The majority seems to be Plate driven. Not that there isn't armor available, but it's just not that great.

Its mostly upsetting because clerics usually have 1-4 different sets of wisdom plate per tier, and we usually dont have even 1 set of wisdom chain.Look into the nightblood plate set. Its ridiculous. T5, wisdom on every piece in good amounts. And a unique appearance.I dont want it taken away from them by any means, but I sure would like an equivilent for shamans.

I thought we had a comparible set off the treants in RV... bramble or something. Was a red/orange chain look. Sets all have wisdom but lack power on em balancing them out.

Hmmm...I never found a piece, and it was certainly never on the broker any of the hundreds of times I looked for armor. Maybe I am just plain unlucky.EDIT: Looking at Ogaming, I can't seem to find anything like what you are talking about. Bramble results in one item dropped by Holly Windstalker.Chain from the Enchanted Lands doesnt turn up any sets of equipment.Nor does chain from rivervale or zek.Ogaming may just be missing it, but it seems more like we were just overlooked.

Message Edited by Eepop on 01-27-200602:05 PM

I just ran a few searches for it on ogaming... can't find it. I don't think it was a full set but there were defin a few matched pieces. Similar stats too... wis on all but no power.

Well this is disheartening. I honestly do not care if I look like everyone else in terms of armor as long as I am not mismatched. That isn't to say, however, that I wouldn't like dyes and more armor variety.

Ok, there is some chain with wisdom on it for those that have the resources to get fabled stuff. For those of us that dont, we get to wear old stuff or armor with no wis.

The final court of truth quest has a chain BP with 10 wisdom or so.

Leggings of the soulless keeper or something like that are chain have decent wis.

Soulforged bracers have wis.

There are some things out there, but like everyone else has said, if you are looking to maximize mystic type stats, it is going to be a mismatched set.

If you want to wear a dress to cover mismatched armor & don't mind the loss of mitigation, look into getting an Ancient Rallosin Gown (has 16 WIS).As far as matching gear goes, the Glyphed Dune Boots, Legs, & Gloves match the Fetid Chainmail gear from Al'Afaz. Add a Mail Coat of the Umbra & you've got a pretty decent look:

Message Edited by TheRealMoon on 01-27-200604:32 PM
