What is a Mystic?

<DIV>When I got the game (finally!) I was playing around with each race, and after some decisions the barbarian I had created fit best, and when I looked at him I thought "Mystic." Well, now I am a shaman and will become a Mystic soon, but... what exactly is a Mystic? I picked a Mystic because it felt right, but I do not know much about the class other than: they debuff, the ward, they get animal forms.</DIV>

Priest / healer.  Debuffing is pretty much a raid only function with the way fights work today.<div></div>

Depends on the group ... I was in a group where everyone was 6+ levels above me .. and all the mobs were yellow or better ... I did some dps debuffing on the harder mobs to make my job easier.Usually though, unless I'm soloing, I don't debuff much.

I don't even bother debuffing when soloing.  Fights only last 30-40 seconds, and that just isn't enough time for a debuff to make a difference.

Debuff when soloing, debuffing when grouping depends on the group and what your group is killing.Mystics do wards first, heals second, but after level 40 your healing gets betters.The debuff that lowers the targets damage per second seems to really come in handy depending on the target of course.Being a priest that can wear chain mail is good too. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Mostly, I love my mystic even though I'm a little bored playing a priest (working on a shadowknight to be).All the animal forms are fun too... but the bear form is gigantic, I use /hide most of the time.<div></div>
