<DIV>Hello, I just discovered that Torpor was available to us now.   I mostly duo with a monk (both of us level 54).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is Torpor worth using when duo'ing?  Or is it more for raid situations where the main tank doesn't care that much about loosing attack speed?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know we could test this for ourselves (and likely will), but I'm stuck at work at the moment and thought I'd ask. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV>

It works very good in a duo. However a monk who is going to be providing most of your DPS will be hurt more than most classes from the attack speed slow. When i duo with a monk i try and keep him alive mainly using my single target ward and use torpor if things get rough or on myself if i get agro.

<P>That's what we mostly do now - monk pulls, gets a taunt off, I drop Sacred Aegis on her, dot/debuff the mob, reapply the ward as needed.  It has worked so far.</P> <P>Just was wondering if there was a better option. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  She does tend to spam CA's, so it may be that the slow is hardly noticable.  </P>

<DIV>A good amount of their hate  comes from a spell that gives them XXX hate per hit. This number is less than a taunt but they hit so fast it equaly out. Limiting their attack speed not only decreases their DPS but their taunting as well. Dont get me wrong... i still use torpor on a monk, its just not the 1st heal i use on him.</DIV>
