I realize you want to play two characters at once. But it is impossible to tell you which buffs better if you dont tell us what the other character you want to buff is.  Mystic has a few more buffs in the long run, but they are pretty much on par (maybe 1-2 difference in the amount of spells). You have to answer those specific questions I asked if you want any specific kind of answer. <div></div>

In all honesty you might be better off with a Fury because they have a proc buff or two and also have a few large nukes with long recasts and could still keep you alive just about as good in your circumstance.</DIV>

I'd have to say defiler for what you have described.  I love my mystic, but we don't have as much "unattended" benefits as the defilers do.  Either can heal or ward just as well these days but the defilers offer a lot more utility in their always on buffs.  So as a character that will often be just there on autofollow, go defiler.
