<DIV> <DIV>As someone else mentioned in the Good News thread that Runic was still getting aggro...well so is Prophetic. I can confirm today that proximity aggro still made all mobs run straight at me.</DIV></DIV>

<DIV>I did not have this issue last night. The only thing that ran to me at any point in the night were mob pets, which is new to me, never had that before without having the whole crew come to try and kill me. One time during the night I THOUGHT they were coming for me, but it turned out the Illusionist was standing behind me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And this was in a group that was fighting up to 3 encounters at one time, sometimes intentionally, sometimes because they spawned on us/some goober backed up too far etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What was the situation this was happening it with you? Were you pre-warding? because actual wards still generate hate.</DIV>

<DIV>I was in a full group that camping in Clefts of Rujark. It was my first time there so I'm not exactly sure where we were, but it was probably the second level near by a lot of pathers. It was full group and there were many a times when the ward would not finish after the kill...usually I would cancel at, but sometimes I wasn't paying attenetion (guild chat, etc). And as far as I could tell I never got aggro, even with ward. The tank was a 51 zerker, and far I could tell he was always pulling with taunt. The first time I got aggro was when another person in the group was too close to a wall and the mob came running all the way from the other side to hit me. The next time was when the zerker was lagging ...hit the taunt but wasn't able to finish it due to lag and the mob zagged right to me. Another time we were fight two mobs...a third pathed right behind the swash..took one look at him and ran right at me...I used attendant at that point and stunned him. But here is the thing even with wards still ON the zerker before pulls (not really pre-wards, just left over ward), as long as he taunted I wasn't getting aggro.</DIV>

<P>We need better, clearer, more reproduceable evidence.</P> <P>I don't discount what you are saying, simply, we need something very solid to go to bat with.</P> <P>I had my own little inexplicable incident tonite, but it's not likely reproduceable.</P> <P>I'm in a raid. We're all in Silent City, getting ready to go kill stuff, but not yet otm. Im sitting up at the FRONT door area (LT entrance).</P> <P>A Necro, in another group, but in raid, is down in the area near Batu and Warclaw soloing to kill time. He dies.</P> <P>The mobs beating on him come up and start beating on me! I wasn't even in his group or anywhere NEAR in range to do anything. I wasn't even in his group for buffs to play a role.</P> <P>But I can't reproduce that, or even begin to explain it.</P>

Your right. Unfortunately, I hardly can get anyone to plan tests with, but I will try. And I was incorrect I meant to say 'I had Runic Talisman' up not prophetic guard.

<DIV>I think there is something wrong with silent city not agro specific to mystics.</DIV> <DIV>We have been having one seemingly random person each raid become the target of excessive agro and die many times over. Its not unique to high dps classes and seems to follow no rhyme nor reason.</DIV> <DIV>So far I have been lucky enough to dodge the bullet.</DIV>

Actually, I have not changed my opinion one whit. My assertion has always been that the aggro issue was manageable with care and education of the tank. In light of the other issues in the game, the situation was exactly that - manageable. As things calmed down, I collected the evidence and presented a case to the developers. They looked into it and found some problems. Others may still exist, but there have certainly been changes in a positive direction here recently. You can either be part of the solution or part of the problem. I am testing and documenting the situations I run into. Most of my experience and evidence at this point will be raid based. I need the experience and evidence from a single group situation. You may help provide that, or you may simply increase the static level of the boards, it's your choice.

In the last week...well since last Friday at least...been grouping a ton. Mobs no longer run to me like I have steaks in my pocket. They fixed something..not sure what...where...how...who..when..all I know is, lvling our guardian and dirge to lvl 60 killing triple up giant groups...I had no problem with unwanted aggro like I had from lvl 45-52. Lvl 52-55 have been smooth for me.

I have also noticed a definite improvement. It's good to be able to run through the zone in a group and not to be the mob magnet whenever a team mate gets hit. My debuffs generate aggro but so far it has been an expected amount and I have had no problems since the update. <div></div>

I'm not sure yet. Tonight in Poet's Palace while doing the ring events the scarab beetles went for me first everytime. The little ward in Runic Talisman would go off on someone, and then the mobs went after me. But in other cases on previous days it had seemed fixed. Ill have to wait and see and log more. <div></div>

It's only when group ward is up and a roamer hits someone in the group that I do get aggro, wich is expected, I'm pretty sure same thing happens to clerics with their group reactive running.</DIV>

No, Clerics don't have that problem. Group reactives are smaller, therefore they generate less hate. What usually happens in a pre-Ward situation is this: Pre Ward tank. Pull. Mob comes in and almost always fires off something HUGE to start with. Wards being what they are, absorb ALL of that damage and generate the hate as if we had healed ALL that damage. The difference is that a reactive allows some damage thru, and in doing so generates less immediate aggro. Yes, the Cleric still has to go back and heal more or throw an additional reactive on later, but the reactive blunts the attack enough that the tank isn't in any danger, and allows the tank time to build aggro before all the damage is eventually healed.

Well this is also strange in that wards that I don't cancel after fight have not generated any hate towards me; I noticed this in a group in PoF fighting giants. The MT was either a dire/troub and kept pulling with arrows, and even though he had a ward from the last fight I will wouldn't get aggro. I did, however, get aggro when one of the nukers was a little behind the group and aggroed a pather who went directly to me.
